Ukraine uncovered a multi-year scam with the "reverse" of Russian gas from Europe

In order to carry out a grandiose scam, Ukraine opened a company - "laying" in Europe, which allegedly engaged in reverse engineering, acting as a fictitious intermediary between the Russian Federation and the EU, but in fact siphoned off a lot of money, receiving kickbacks on gas supplies. The" income "of the fake company was from $ 100 for every thousand cubic meters of Russian gas released under the "scheme". And on the border of Hungary and Ukraine, a gas bridge was made to drive some volumes of raw materials around for reporting purposes.

Although we knew about the reverse flow scheme to rebrand Russian gas, there was little information out there on the financing of the scheme. No doubt someone has been double crossed and this is the start of a bit of sunlight.

Totally brilliant thread/site on gas flows etc in the EU. Highly recommended thumbsup

Europe’s natural gas position is uncertain heading into 2022. Strong demand in the first half of 2021 did not allow for a significant build-up of gas reserves in storage facilities prior to the winter period. As a result, Europe has become particularly dependent on imports. Russian reluctance to increase exports and tight liquefied natural gas (LNG) markets have led to concerns that Europe may face an energy crisis this winter, which will see what gas is in storage depleting rapidly. Figure 1 compares gas storage in 2021 with average values between 2016 and 2020. In January, the volume of stored gas was slightly above that average, but by October it had fallen significantly below the average. The figure shows how demand, imports and production have contributed to this change.

Still bitching at Russia for not doing EU favours. Why should it? The EU has been openly attacking Gazprom by forcing countries
to tear up all of their long term contracts. The EU-crat EU-tards thought that they could force Gazprom to use to the scam called
the spot market where they would finagle the price down to $40 for a thousand cubic meters. All that would be required is the
fact that the supply is assured. Now the EU is reaping the harvest of hate from its beloved, unelected leaders.

The German media is a total whore for Washington and
the German regime is repressing independent media like RT.

The flexibility of the EU is amazing... when Poland says that Polish law supersedes EU law where there is a contradiction between the two is leading to significant daily fines and the withholding of funds to deal with the current epidemic situation, yet the German RT channel is registered in Serbia, which under EU law should allow it to broadcast in any EU country without further registration in each country it broadcasts... but they banned it and closed it down... interesting double standards... no fines or problems for Germany it seems...

Anyway... let them continue to delay the NSII registration, it is their goose they are cooking... or in this case freezing.

The noose is around their own necks... not Russian necks... it frees up more gas for them to sell to China... so as European factories close or operate at reduced capacity because gas costs too much, China can continue to pump out products... and Russian based factories can too...

i was already saving money by just running the heating in my home just for about an half hour in the morning.
Then go upstairs to my office/bedroom and let the electronic's heat maintain the temperature.

But yep, gas prices skyrocketed so hard. some people here needed to pay like 600 euro's extra suddenly for their gas bills.
industry's like alloy production already shut down. Also agricultural greenhouses have mostly shut down as they can't make any profit because of high heating costs.
6 energy companies already went bankrupt in my nation alone.

Some industries here openly critisized the EU and our own government here in western europe they kill their own economies for political games.
    But...you know. same story...

America says "jump" and our EU politicans say "how high?".
all empires crumble at some point, so ill wait by the river some more for that dead body to float by.

This shows that the spot "market" is a total joke. It is the same as the use of US gasoline stock levels to price crude oil.
The former has no relation to the supply of the latter and it is a moronic assumption that oil is not a supply constrained
commodity. Pricing it fully on demand is what undervalues it and leads to shortages in the long run.

Some industries here openly critisized the EU and our own government here in western europe they kill their own economies for political games.

It is totally ironic that Russia actually wants long term contracts and multiple operating pipelines to make energy for you and the EU as cheap and affordable as possible... it is the idiots in Brussels that want to block Russian income on gas to try to hurt Russia and it is you, the EU citizen and EU energy companies that they are actually hurting.

Russia will survive... they will likely end up selling that gas to China for much less than the spot price... but EU citizens will have to look for alternative sources of power, because gas enriches Russia and that is not politically acceptable in the west...

But it is Putin and big bad Russia that are the bad guys of course...  Rolling Eyes

The real irony is the expected saviour of Europe... the US with their freedom gas... are really struggling to decide whether to send gas to the EU or Asia... because they can't be sure which will turn the most profit for themselves... they want the price to go up...

    US = Ally

    Russia = Enemy.

    Yeah Right....

    uhm,...Njet? Wink.

not yet, currently i am already occupied with an rather tough skill learning attempt.
SQL Database that works parallel with an custom-build Unity-based software system that sports an interactive graphic interface.
Have fun trying to let them talk to eachother in synchronisation...

in plain english, i am an software developer employed by an multi-national company.
I put my experience of knowing how large-scale logistic networks work from my 10 year service in NATO.
I did some trucking myself in the army, then up to Planning/management, also specialisations for ADR, Air Cargo,Naval Cargo, Exceptional transport.
Paperwork that is involved, regulations, etc.

What can be done better, and automate the processes with an high level of redudancy.
Lets just say i got inspired by the mechanics of a lot of strategy/management videogames i play for solutions.

So anyway, no room left to take on an course in Russian at the moment.
But, if you mean with that i should know Russian if i want to move there. I fully agree with you.

I loved the structure of SQL.... but I was learning relational database structures... none of the object oriented database stuff.

My conversion training mostly consisted of them telling us how much simpler and easier OO was compared with relational... but I understood relational, and I wasn't getting enough examples of comparisons to get Object oriented... I honestly suspect they weren't fully sure either.

The step from RDB to Oracle was just too big...

Programming was not really my thing anyway... I could look at code and recognise its efficiency and value, but writing it myself...

Most programmers I know... and it isn't that many work in modules... solutions for particular low level problems, which they keep in a database of solutions they apply when working with systems. When they find a problem they pull out their solution and adapt it if needed so the problem gets solved and the solution database gets a minor update...

I cringe when I get a bill from my car mechanic, usually because it is so expensive but also because I think he just used a standard package, so he has a fixed bill for everything and compensates and gets the price by changing quantity, so a particular repair might cost $1, but the quantity is 223 because the part and labour needs to cost $223 to cover what he wants to charge... it is painful to look at but he doens't care because it works...

haha its funny that you call the SQL Database Oracle, my boss does that as well.

i stick to calling it SQL otherwise i can not differentiate it from other systems in my mind.
Ever heard of Progress?. an Database system?. it runs on DOSbox for crying out loud.

You heard of this free application called MAMP?. you can simulate your own SQL server to play with Wink

Yeah that is the problem, I have to build an SQL server, that exchanges real-time data with an unity program.
Meanwhile, the thertiary (main information system) developed by another company has to communicate with and stay in Sync.
It only accepts XML in an very basic form.

... a lot of programming callback. asking the running process confirms the other system before being able to continue.

I really did not make this mess up either.
It is kind of like getting handed the christmas lights that are all entagled. and they tell you to make it work...

soo.....uhm......lets just say my 4000 euro glass PC comes from figuring out this kind of shit for big company's Wink.

Gas is cleaner than coal and works out cheaper, but as you point out all the BS is in Europe...

haha its funny that you call the SQL Database Oracle, my boss does that as well.

SQL is the programming language, Oracle 8 was the object oriented database software they tried to convert us to object oriented programming with. Before that we just used RDB2, which as the name suggests is relational database based database software.

Haven't used it in 20 years... relational databases were simple and I actually enjoyed creating structure to store specific information, but the object oriented design and programming I never really got my head around... I think it was mostly because the lecturers at university didn't fully understand it either but they would never admit that I suspect.

I really did not make this mess up either.
It is kind of like getting handed the christmas lights that are all entagled. and they tell you to make it work...

Yeah, at university they get you to build things from scratch, but in the real world what often happens is that each company has its own unique system and then companies merge or get taken over and nobody is going to spend money to convert the new companies DB to suit theirs so you end up having to make software to help them share data.

A well designed database shouldn't really need a lot of programming to make sure of data integrity... even the programmes the users access the database with has an effect... I remember complaints from one company that their merged database was hopeless... when you did a search it only brought up parts of the data... turned out the data input screens didn't have the correct input masks so you would get a mix of capital letters and lower case letters depending on the typist, which resulted in the same words being treated as different words based on whether the first letter was a capital... Took a while to work that one out. GIGO.

I hate sql honestly. But it works so damn well.

Haven't used it in literally decades, but I liked its simplicity... or maybe I am thinking of RDB... create a database, then create tables and attributes... and link the tables with primary keys...

Gazprom in contact with European Commission on gas supplies to Europe — company

Part of the information has already been provided, the company's press service revealed

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Gazprom is in contact with the European Commission (EC) on gas supplies to Europe and has already provided some of the required information, the press service of the holding told TASS.

"We are in contact with the EC. Part of the information has already been provided," an official with Gazprom said.

Earlier on Thursday, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Margrethe Vestager said that the EC is "eagerly awaiting the information" from Gazprom to its official questionnaire about reduction of gas supplies during the gas crisis. She added that so far the EC has not come to any conclusions about the presence of some violations by the Russian company.

The EC’s previous antitrust investigation against Gazprom, which lasted from 2012 to 2018, was closed without fines on the basis of a settlement agreement.

    Gas crisis in Europe

From September to December 2021, a number of EU countries accused Gazprom of limiting gas supplies to the EU during a period of peak energy prices, believing that the Russian supplier, which covers about 40% of the EU's gas needs, manipulated European prices.

However, European Commission leaders admitted that the European gas crisis was resulted by a number of factors, including a rise in global energy prices, bad weather that reduction of European wind power generation for several months, and some others.

Gazprom repeatedly stated that its deliveries to the EU countries in the autumn of 2021 increased compared to the same period last year and that all contractual obligations to the EU countries were fulfilled in full. This fact has been confirmed by both individual EU states and the European Commission.

Gas exports from Russia to non-CIS countries in 2021 increased by 5.8 billion cubic meters in comparison with 2020 and totaled 185.1 billion cubic meters.

I wouldn't negotiate anything. I would tell Gazprom to reel its neck in and let Europe freeze.

If these sick f*cks try to make any move against Gazprom, then it needs to retaliate. The EU-crats do not have regulatory
authority over Gazprom and Gazprom is

    1) not obliged to supply any gas outside of its contracts, but actually it can invoke force majeure based on the behaviour of
    the EU parasites.

    2) not obliged to play on the spot market. It has already made massive accommodations to various countries by changing the
contracts in 2020 to use the spot market price instead of the oil price. But that is not enough for these maggots.

It may be in russias best interests to relieve the head of Gazprom, and put someone else in charge. Clearly Miller doesn't have Russian interest in heart.
