AFAIK SU-24M has less capability in night missions ? or it could be modernized with SVP-24 .

Su-24M is a fully night and all weather capable low flying strike aircraft... its radar and EW systems should have detected the location of the enemy SAM site and allowed missiles to be launched at standoff distances...

They just need night vision glaces, which are a common thing now on any battlefield, for night operations. Launching a missile at stand off range wigh no enemy air force makes it a very easy mission.

Not sure NVG would be of any use... Su-24M already has terrain following radar and what you could see at night at very low altitude at over 800km/h would not be very useful... I would doubt very much they got to within visual range of any of the systems they destroyed.

AFAIK Kaira have low light capabilities and in Libya is not total darknes, so there is light from stars and moon. Su-24M don't need Kaira to launch anti-radar missiles or Kh-59M long range stand off missiles. Kaira is needed only for laser guided bombs.

That's because Sisi told him to tell them to pack all their useless shit and GTFO of Libya LOL! Seriously, he told Haftar play nice, offer them juice and grapes and maybe even a couple of belly dancers and then lay it down on them that you don't expect a single turkey to stay behind while we sort out OUR sovereignty which has NOTHING to do with you turkeys.

Thank you. Below is what that announcement says. Bit confused. Does it mean that the new Government is formally taking over control, rescinding any decisions by the old Government during the overlapping period?

CAIRO –3 April 2020: On Thursday, the Government of National Unity in Libya announced the cancellation of all decisions and procedures issued after March 10 by the Governments of the National Accord(GNA), the Interim Government, and their bodies; the date on which they won the confidence of the House of Representatives.

These decisions, taken by some members of the two governments, brought about changes in public institutions and interests, in a move considered by the new government as a violation of the administrative powers of the transitional period.

Earlier, Libya’s Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh ordered the suspension of the meetings of the boards of trustees of investment institutions and the general assemblies of public companies "temporarily" until further notice. The Prime Minister considered that the decisions issued by public institutions and companies from the date of granting confidence to the unity government are null.

According to the outcomes of the Libyan Political Forum, all the powers of the executive authority are transferred to the new Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity, from the date the parliament grants confidence to the new government, meaning all the powers of the executive authority expire from that date.

The new Libyan government took office more than two weeks ago, and has already begun to abandon some of the decisions of the outgoing Government of National Accord, as it canceled the mandate of the Coronavirus Crisis Management Committee due to suspicions in administrative corruption and formed a new committee.

Till now yes. I guess that's good because it's going to put more tensions between Turkey and EU .Greece will never accept the deal and many countries will support it cause the Turks did alot of foreign mistakes in the last ten years .

To train the fighters of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ankara sent to Libya the American main combat units modernized in Turkey. Tanks M60A1. This step is a direct violation of the international arms embargo on this African country.

They aren't violating the arms embargo so much as exporting recyclable garbage. With Turkish """tactics"""" and obsolete armor in the face of the very best Russian anti-tank weaponry oil barrels can buy, these tanks might as well be sent to the scrap heap instead. Would save everyone the trouble.

I see a different point. I bet the GNA are paying top $ for all the Turkish stuff they get and Erdogan needs the money. Smile The Turks are pretty good salesmen so expect boatloads of it.

Also a reason why there seem to be Syrian terrorists still there, $s per month. The ME is learning that its as hard to get rid of Turks as it is Americans once they have a foot in the door.
