The former head of Israeli intelligence said that the inhabitants of southern #Lebanon should stay away from military installations of the Lebanese and Iranian sides.

Hezbollah just released footage of a double launch of Kornet\Dehlaviyeh ATGMs from a special launcher with 2 missiles.
The system called Thar Allah, has apparently been in service since 2015 but has only now been revealed publicly. The main purpose of this modernization is probably to counter Active Protection Systems like the Isreali Trophy.
The roots of this system unsurprisingly seem to be Iranian, since they've publicly displayed a similar system based on the Iranian Dehlaviyeh ATGM launcher (Iranian copy of Kornet) with 2 missiles that can be fired simultaneously.
The last picture is an example of the Iranian version.

Bad news for the Merkava crew

The later variants of Kornet have always had 2 guidance channels to allow for a quick 2 missile salvo against APS defended targets.

Now the Iranians just have to copy the Stugna's remote control console and you get yourself the ultimate in man-portable ATGMs.

Actually with the Kornet, which as you know is a laser beam riding missile, they just launch two missiles that ride down the same laser beam so really it is aim at the target and double tap to launch two missiles at the single target...

Kornet missiles are less than 3K each, and the current models hit armour at 8.5km and soft targets at 10km.

I rather suspect there is room for a combination of systems... the modern battlefield is very very dangerous.

Almas has been developed in lower cost by reverse engineering of Spike missiles that fell into Hezbollah hands during its war with Israel in 2006 .

It's like showing the capabilities of Hezbollah to deter the israelis from expanding the war .

FPV drones , more advanced AShM and ballistic missiles will be the next surprise on the next full scale war.

The French proposal calls for withdrawing Hezbollah fighters to a distance of 10 kilometers from the Israeli border , which Hezbollah rejected .

Probably to eliminate ATGMs threats .

Now France should ask Israel to withdraw her forces from the border.

[Tuesday 2-13-2024] In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out a number of operations against the positions and deployment of the Israeli enemy army on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, according to the following:

- Eastern sector:

1- At 7:45, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in Honin Castle was targeted with missile weapons, causing direct hits.
2- At 11:15, an Israeli police building in Kiryat Shmona was targeted with appropriate weapons and it was directly hit, as a response to the Israeli attacks on southern villages and civilian homes, the last of which was in the village of Talusah.
3- At 14:00, control of an Israeli Skylark drone, which is in good technical condition.
4- At 15:00, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the vicinity of the Al-Marj site was targeted with missile weapons and was directly hit.
5- At 18:10, the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms was targeted with missile weapons, causing direct hits.
6- At 20:00, the headquarters of the Zabdin Barracks was targeted with missile weapons and was directly hit.

- Western sector:

1- At 9:30, the spy equipment at the Hadab Yarin site was targeted with appropriate weapons and was directly hit.
2- At 14:12, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Mitat barracks was targeted with appropriate weapons and was directly hit, leading to its members being killed or wounded.

*The number of operations carried out by the Islamic Resistance during 129 days, from 10/08/2023 to 02/13/2024, reached 1,028 operations.

Garry, we are getting posts on the Israeli conflicts, both Gaza and Lebanon spread between this and the other larger thread. I am guilty of this.

Do you have any suggestion on how to to keep them on track? How to keep the Gaza thread pure Gaza?

Well first of all I thought of merging the threads but I see this thread goes back to 2015 and contains information about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, so merging them is not really sensible.

Maybe renaming this thread to "Israeli-Hezbollah conflicts on Lebanon border"?

Emphasis is the s on conflicts.

Any other suggestions welcome...

Adding s would be fine , ME is a complicated area where conflicts are somehow connected but at the end it's a clash between israel and Hezbollah , on the other thread posts are repeated because this conflict is a result of the aggression on Gaza , so both threads are correct .

In response to a dead Lebanese civilians on the last israeli airstrikes , Nasrallah said  yesterday that blood for blood .

He said Hezbollah has the ability to hit even Eilat .

This means they have more than 400km missiles or enormous amounts of drones to reach Eilat .
