Greetings from RSA and a question

Hello there fellow Russian military fans!

I am from South Africa. I am currently planning a trip to Russia. I am crazy about Russian military aircraft (especially Su-27 and it's derivatives) and my primary objective and reason for the visit is to go to the Central Air Force Museum at Monino near Moscow. I'm not sure in what sub-forum to put my question and so I'll ask here. Hopefully someone living in Russia can help me.

Here's the issue: I've been doing some research on it and on the English Wikipedia page it mentions (without reference/citation) that the museum is closing in July 2016 for "an unspecified time". I have looked at the official site (with Google Translate!) and there's no mention of it there and googling it also doesn't return any meaningful results. I would like for someone to be able to tell me if it is actually closing and if it is when exactly as it will affect my travel plans.

I've got the phone number for the place, but as I can't speak more than four or five words of Russian I can't exactly phone and find out myself .

If no one can help you here perhaps flicking an email to the Russian embassy in South Africa might get results?

Thank you for the links DTA, what I can understand from the first one is that it's business as usual at the museum.

GarryB, I don't have much hope of the embassy knowing much, but I am going there next week. Strangely I can't find a email address for the museum itself, otherwise I would have tried mailing them in bad Russian (google translate!). For now, I'm confident I can continue with my plans.

Looks like museum will work as usual, exept closed days - monday,tuesday and each last thursday of each month.

Also found your question in social network , community "volunteers of monino museum" https://vk.com/aviarestorermonino , they didn't know about this too.
