Israel is trying to prevent the delivery of American fighter planes to Saudi Arabia

Israel is trying to prevent the signing of multimillion-dollar contract between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia for the supply of the latest military technology.

The deal includes the purchase of Saudi Arabia in the U.S. , dozens of new F-15 and upgrading 150 fighter jets F-15s, who are already in service caudovskih Air Force , the newspaper Ha'aretz.

In the past month Israel has introduced Americans to a number of reservations on a grand bargain . On them will be discussed on Tuesday in Washington at a meeting of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with President Obama.

Two weeks ago in Washington, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has raised this issue in meetings with U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates and National Security Advisor Jim Jones .

Last week, during the visit of Saudi King Abdullah at the White House the issue of defense deal had been thoroughly discussed, reminds agency Al Bawaba.

Saudi Arabia is planning to reach an agreement with the United States on the purchase of artillery systems worth $186 million, Arabian website Elaf said citing a high-ranking source in the Saudi government.

Last month the parties agreed on the details of the upcoming deal, according to which Washington would supply 36 155-mm guns and 54 105-mm guns, the source said.

In October 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama announced the largest arms exports contract in the history of the country. The United States will supply various types of weapons to Saudi Arabia worth $60 billion. The orders include 84 new F-15 fighter jets and a contract to upgrade 70 F-15s already in service with the Saudi air force. Washington will also deliver 70 Apache helicopters, 72 Black Hawk helicopters, 36 Little Birds and 12 MD-530F helicopters, and a wide range of rockets, bombs and other equipment.

It is the main reason why the Americans (over) reacted to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwaite. They were worried that Saddam might just keep rolling and go for Saudi Arabia as well and dominate the oil supply in the middle east.

You hear Saudi Royal Family and you think they are a royal dynasty with a history as long as the Middle East, but all the so called royal families in the whole middle east were created in the 1920s when France and Britain were putting lines on maps to redivide the areas now that they had pinched all the German bits from around the world.

The Saudi Royal family owes its existence to the west because the west created them. They created them so they didn't need so many troops in country to keep order. Colonial rule 101... pick a low class and make them kings and they will be loyal to you and happily oppress those who used to oppress them without encouragement.

During the Iran Iraq war in the 80's, these A-raabs would get drafted or volunteer for the Iraqi army. These pussy ass cowards came from all over the A-raab world. From as far away as Morocco!

The first sign of trouble and these bastards would throw down their weapons and surrender en mass! Iran captured several hundred thousand A-raabs during that long war.

I remember a documentary once being aired on IRNA about the fate of these bastards........the reporter asked one of em standing in a line of thousands of them that where was he from and why was he in the war, and he said that he got recruited from Egypt for a job and instead of working in Baghdad as a fukkin cheese pumper, instead got sent to the front. Very Happy

......and that was the predicament of hundreds of his colleagues standing in the POW line behind him during one of Iran's massive meat grinder offensives into Basra.

I swear Garry......had that bastard Saddam not used mustard and nerve gas like it was goin outta style.....Iran would have busted all these motherfukking A-raab cowards a new fun-hole! Wink

Back then, mustard & nerve gas was supplied to these A-raabs by their masters sitting in London & Washington, it was kosher then to attack Iran with chemical weapons.......seems like nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed now is that whoever starts a new war, Iran will end it.

I remember the US State department objecting to the illegal use of chemical weapons... till they realised it was the Iraqis using it and not the Persians... and then they shut up till 1991 and Saddam became the bad guy and then they whined and whined about him gassing his own people.

Of course the people he mostly gassed were Kurds, so they were hardly "his" people.

Garry the Kurds got the least of the chemical weapons. It was the Iranian troops who bore the brunt of the Blood, mustard and nerve agents, for a decade.

No body said shit then. The United states and Saudi Arabia facilitated the transfer and precursors to Iraq to produce these chemical weapons.

Doesn't surprise me in the least.

But when the west brought up Saddams evil deeds they mentioned some village in Iraq where "5000" Iraqis were killed. Can't remember the name of the village off the top of my head, but it was a town full of Kurds who were rising up against Saddams rule.

It was actually quite hilarious later on because after 11/9 and while there was a no fly zone over northern Iraq many bushites were jumping up and down about links with Al Quada and Saddam. There was only one small problem because the links were to Northern Iraq under the western no fly zone where Saddam had lost control and all the links were to Kurdish separatists that the US wanted to use for the invasion.
Obviously once that was clear the Kurds dropped their Al quada buddies like Turds and jumped into bed with the US against Saddam because they thought they might get their own state out of it. Kurdistan should have had north Iraq, a big piece of Iran, and a huge piece of Syria and even a piece of Turkey.

The US would be happy about Iran and Syria losing chunks, but not so of Turkey and Iraq. The US dealings with the Kurds... which the Turks see as terrorists, was the main reason that Turkey didn't get involved in the post 11/9 invasion of Iraq.
And of course Iraq doesn't want to give up all its oilfields in northern Iraq to a bunch of Sand Arabs (Kurds).

What a mess the European colonial powers created in that region and they continue to stir the pot in Syria and Iran.

Manufactured by Boeing, the F-15SA is “the most sophisticated and capable aircraft in the world," he said.

“The United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a government-to-government agreement under the Foreign Military Sales program to provide advanced F-15SA combat aircraft to the Royal Saudi Air Force,” the spokesman said.

“Valued at $29.4 billion, this agreement includes the modernization of 70 existing aircraft as well as munitions, spare parts, training, maintenance and logistics,” he added.

Don't forget that only a small fraction of US oil imports come from the ME.

And a significant portion of Saudi oil goes to Asia.

China and India would be happy to get more oil.

or maybe Arabs should start building their own cars and electronics instead of relying on exports of non renewable resources...?
