Planes crash... they don't crash at the same time each week, and they don't crash one or two months apart to even out and make a nice average crash statistic.

If related to weather they can be clumped together, but equally there are so many other factors just picking one is not going to explain them all.

Just bad luck... wait for the investigations and move on.

No one goes on about all the car crashes that happen continuously around the world and kill rather more people... you would think having aircraft able to carry hundreds of people at a time and the dangers of weather and geography with the danger of gravity and enormous volumes of fuel in most cases would make it vastly more dangerous... but even today the risks are not that bad for flying.

It's always the same. People concentrate more on Russian crashes but less so on American crashes let's say. Neither are Rosey pictures and proves that lots needs to be done to improve quality and QA. And even that won't stop crashes from happening.

What is important is human life. How many of those crashes cause loss of human life?

Clearly. That's why I think they need such parachutes.

Planes can fly on one engine or even with no engines for a long time and can even land on unprepared roads or on the sea. Much safer.

Helicopter aren't safe. And the future UAV taxi that will be used will be worse.

Btw another helicopter crashed yesterday. A medevac Ansat.

First helicopter with a parachute my arse.... the Ka-50 has had an ejection seat since it was designed in the 1980s.

When things go wrong and you crash a parachute can only do so much... a couple of those crashes were heavy landings... well you don't know the landing is going to be too heavy till it is over making a parachute useless.

Helicopters can auto rotate if they have speed and altitude, but again not much use when coming in to land and there is a problem.

It does not matter what they do there will always be air accidents... just like there will always be car crashes... minimise them as much as possible, but don't whine on the internet about it... that helps no one.

Two SU-30SM were being tested in Irkutsk. It seemd the two pilots are dead begore the crash.

Both have drowned due to a malfunction of oxygen or gas poisoning

Of course, all these air "accidents" in Russia are TERRORISM, although they are officially silenced, as was the crash of the plane with the Russian army choir in SOchi, the shooting down of a passenger plane over Sinai, the shooting down of the MH17 plane over Donbass the day Putin returned from Brazil in 2014 or all those planes that have burned spontaneously in Russian bases

Russia is at war against the evil empire and they have no moral restrictions when it comes to waging war, we saw it in Hiroshima, in Vietnam or on 9/11

I doubt it's terrorism. Planes crash. In sinai it was a terrorist act.

This one was being tested and you don't get access to military sites that easily.

Opening an aircraft and sabotaging it is almost impossible unless by someone from the inside which is unlikely.

F-35 is a new plane with the newest technology and also did such thing to its pilots.

Wouldn't take much for a saboteur-worker with the expertise and access to introduce a manufacturing defect at the factory. Something that wouldn't be noticed until the plane is flying already.

No I am concerned of sabotage. Ruskie oxygen generation units using bleed air from the intakes are really good. Dont trust it one bit.

April.
Leningrad region. The MiG-31 fighter-interceptor fell, the pilots ejected.

June.
Su-25 attack aircraft crashes near Belgorod. The pilot survived.

Rostov region. The Su-25 is falling. The pilot dies.

Dubrovichi, Ryazan region. Il-76 military transport aircraft crashes , the crew of 5 people die.

September.
Crimea. The Su-34 is falling. The crew ejects.

October.
Rostov region. The Su-24 is falling. The crew ejects.

On the same day, October 9, in the Rostov region, a Su-25 crashes, the pilot dies.

Yeisk. 17 October. Su-34 falls on a residential building. 15 people died.

Irkutsk. October 24th. Su-30 falls on a private house, the pilots died.

December.
Primorsky Krai. Falling MiG-31. The crew ejected.

In total, sad statistics: 10 aircraft and 24 people were lost in 9 months.

And how much new aircraft did they get in the same time ? Too many crashed and too few new ones arrived.

They need to order much more su-35 or su-57 to replace the lost ones as well keep increasing new aircraft inventory.

Soviet stocks are coming to the end anyway. Su-24, mig-31, su-27 can't be upgraded indefinitly. New ones aren't ordered in sufficient numbers.

Mig-29 aren't even replaced. Their role is now done by Pantsirs and Tors. They need at leadt 200 su-75 before 2030.

They have plenty of planes in reserve if they need planes but the loss of 10 aircraft is not something to get too concerned about considering the thousands of flights being undertaken.

Each case is investigated and changes will be suggested and implemented to make things safer.

Reserve aircraft can be upgraded and new aircraft going into serial production can have extra new aircraft added to orders if need be, but not really something to get too upset about yet.

If the MiG-35 is going well then it would actually make more sense to buy those in larger numbers because their lower purchase price and lower operating costs would make them rather more affordable.

If you get 30 new jets per year then 10 crash is too much.

Su-75 at 20 million is the best deal but then who knows the price of the mig-35. Export price of mig-29M isn't that low. And I would rathzr have tge su-75 even if it is a bit more expensive than the mig-35. It is also a single engine so 2 times less spart parts for the engine.
