US military sales/aid to Egypt

US weapons are expensive, but those Chinooks are interesting... 2.6 billion for 56 helicopters... that is incredibly cheap for such an aircraft... I seem to remember they sold Chinooks to India for over 75 million each... maybe they are old worn out stock?

Funny they mention the Chinooks have M240 machine guns mounted... the M240 is just a Belgian FN MAG machine gun... nice gun, not as light as a PKM of course... but a rather odd thing to mention... they don't mention Mi-17 sales with door mounted PKMs... even though they might be fitted with them.

BTW those missiles work out at about 140K per missile... so less than a quarter the price of Javelin but better range and better penetration and probably more effective based on current results so far...
