Re: 2023 Israel–Hamas war #3
The hostage deal is on tenterhooks again, this morning. From MEE:
Israeli forces' killing of a Palestinian farmer in Gaza on Sunday is starting to cast doubts on the third day of the truce and the prisoner-captive exchange between Israel and Hamas.
There has not yet been any comment from Israel on the killing, however fears are growing that it could jeopardise the third phase of plans to swap captives held in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners.
A senior Palestinian source said that Sunday's phase looked "complicated". Asked by Reuters if the farmer's killing could delay a third batch of releases, the source replied: "I don't know."

Latest updates on the Palestine-Israel conflict:
The Hamas movement supports the extension of the truce with Israel after the end of the 4-day period and seeks to increase the number of those released, the organization said in a statement;
Israel has released the third group of Palestinian prisoners, consisting of 39 people;
US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed during a phone call to continue working toward the release of all hostages held by the Palestinian movement Hamas;
Netanyahu expressed willingness to extend the ceasefire to free up to 10 hostages for each day of a ceasefire, adding that Israel is "returning full power to carry out its aims: destroy Hamas, ensure that Gaza won’t return to what it was and of course to free all of our hostages."

Re: 2023 Israel–Hamas war #3
"Yedioth Ahronoth" Hebrew newspaper: The Israeli army decided to dismiss two combat officers after a battle in the northern Gaza Strip during the peak of a ground maneuver. The force withdrew without providing fire cover against dozens of militants who set an ambush. This unusual incident created a severe crisis between the unit's leaders and fighters and the battalion commander, resulting in half of them not returning to the unit, and soldiers from other units were brought in to fill the gap.

They were not allowed to talk to the media because the Israeli officials know what are those people are going to describe how they were well treated by Hamas .
Hamas won the media battle , all that western big think tanks were not enough to deal with a small maneuvers by Hamas.

#Occupied_Palestine
Palestinian media: Fierce clashes reported between resistance fighters and occupation forces as they raided the city of Tubas east of Jenin.
The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" quotes a senior officer in the Israeli General Staff: "We have failed to understand that the plan devised before our eyes has become a reality. Neither us, nor the Shin Bet, nor the Mossad, which reviewed all the reports as an auditor, nor even the monitoring teams assessing the situation, know when Sinwar made the decision to turn the plan into an executable order, and we don't know the reason either."
From the order to cease fire, to the choice of who will be released from captivity and the timing, these indications suggest that Hamas' hierarchical military system is far from collapsing and capable of continuing its operations.
Hamas has achieved the ability to lead and control the field despite all the "Israeli" airstrikes and ground incursions more than the Israeli army leadership expected.

Hamas issued a statement:
As a result of a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, by the IOF, in the northern Gaza Strip today, a clash occurred & our forces dealt with this violation.
We are committed to the truce as long as the enemy has committed to it, and we call on the mediators to pressure the occupation to adhere to all the terms of the truce on the ground and in the air.

According to the IOF, 3 explosive devices were detonated near IOF forces in 2 seperate locations in the northern Gaza Strip.
It says that in one of the incidents, there was also gunfire from both sides.
A number of Zionist soldiers are lightly hurt in the attacks.

— The released POWs from Gaza said that in the early days of their imprisonment, Yahya Sinwar came to them, greeted them, and in ‘fluent’ Hebrew without an accent, said:
"Hello, I'm Yahya Sinwar. You have the maximum protection here. Nothing will happen to you."

Hebrew "Maariv" newspaper: The announcement by the spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigades yesterday about an exchange of gunfire with Israeli forces in northern Gaza is a clear indication of the leadership and control that Hamas still maintains, especially in areas where the Israeli army is present.

Footage of the release of Russian citizens from Hamas captivity has appeared - after 53 days, nothing threatens them anymore
The prisoners, who were released by Hamas today after a request from the Russian leadership, turned out to be 73-year-old Irina Tati and her 50-year-old daughter Elena Trufanova. In the footage, Palestinians hand over women to representatives of the Red Cross. They have now been taken to Israeli territory, and doctors are working with them.

Scott Ritter: Israel's Gaza offensive ends in political and military defeat
Israel and the Hamas Islamic resistance movement that governs the besieged Palestinian enclave reportedly agreed on Tuesday to extend the four-day ceasefire, brokered by Persian Gulf Arab state Qatar, for another two to three days.
Exchanges of captives will continue during that extension, with Hamas releasing 20 Israelis taken prisoner during its October 7 raids into southern Israel. The number of Palestinians to be freed was not reported, but Israel had previously released 180 women and children from its jails in return for 61 Israeli civilians and roughly 20 foreigners held by Hamas.
Former US Marine Scott Ritter told Sputnik that the bombing and ground invasion had been unsuccessful when measured "by Israel's own standards."
