Lol....yeah i once had something that could be paranormal phenomena. It was like at 2 am in the morning, me and my brother were on motorcycle riding home. Around, no signs of living. Just vietnamese rocky mountains and bamboo forest. so we were at a normal speed, when suddenly an old women jumped out of the bamboo forest (behind was an isolated cemetery). She looked soooo weird and really pale and was like "can you drive me ?" and it sounded like some sort of echo. My brother was so scared that he speeded up xD i looked back, not even few seconds after, and their was no signs of the old women... affraid

Vanga predicted break out of Third World War in 2010
    25.09.2008 Source: Pravda.Ru URL: http://english.pravda.ru/society/anomal/106459-vanga-0

There are not many people who believe in clairvoyants’ predictions. However, such beliefs stay strong until those predictions begin to come true. As for the predictions of the Bulgarian remote-viewer and healer Vanga (Vangelia Gushterova), people began to listen out for her words long ago. Vanga presumably became known for her predictions of global disasters.

For example, Vanga predicted the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States, when she said that American brothers would fall under attacks of birds of steel. The clairvoyant also predicted the beginning of WWII, the perestroika in the USSR, the death of Princess Diana and even the sinking of the Kursk submarine.

Specialists also say that the renowned fortune-teller also predicted the events connected with the armed conflict in South Ossetia. Vanga supposedly said that the Third World War would break out as a result of attempts on the lives of four government heads and after a conflict in Hindustan.

Also read: Vanga predicted most horrible catastrophes

The presidents of four countries – Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland department to Georgia in the middle of the conflict to see the situation with their own eyes.

Vanga predicted that the Third World War would break out in 2010.

Vanga, born Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, after marriage Vangelia Gushterova, was a Bulgarian alleged clairvoyant who spent most of her life in the Rupite area in the Kozhuh Mountains, Bulgaria. She convinced many followers that she possessed paranormal abilities.

Vanga was illiterate or semi-literate and she did not write herself any books. Her speech was difficult to distinguish and she spoke a heavy dialect (recent TV recordings used subtitles for the Bulgarian audience). What she said or allegedly said has been captured by staff members. Later numerous esoteric books on Vanga's life and predictions were written.

Vanga claimed that her alleged extraordinary abilities had something to do with the presence of invisible creatures, but she couldn't clearly explain their origin. She was saying, that those creatures were giving her information about people, which she could not transmit to them, because, distance and time didn't matter. According to Vanga, the life of everyone standing in front of her, was like a film to her, from birth till death. But changing "what was written on the generation" was beyond her power.

Apart from prophesying, Vanga was believed to be a healer, but only through herbal medicines. According to her, people had to heal themselves only with herbs from the country they live in. She prescribed washing with an infusion of herbs and spices, claiming some beneficial effect on the skin. Vanga did not oppose mainstream medicine, although she thought that taking too many medicines is bad, because "they close the doors, through which nature restores the balance in the body with herbs".

Vanga attempted prophesies of newborn or unborn children. She claimed that she was "seeing" and "talking" to people, who had died hundreds of years ago. Vanga talked about the future, although she did not like to. In her words, in 200 years man will make contact with brothers in mind from other worlds.[citation needed] She said that many aliens have been living on the earth for years. They came from the planet, which in their language is called Vamfim, and is the third planet from the Earth.

Followers of Vanga believe that she knew the precise date of her own death, and shortly before that she had said that a 10-year-old blind girl living in France was to inherit her gift, and that people would soon hear about her.

I wouldn't use Pravda as a reliable source. Actualy, it isn't a reliable source at all. It is like the Inquirer here in Canada.

Pravda is a tabloid style "news"... While Vanga is well known for her predictions at Eastern Europe, I would do additional research for every other article lifted from there.

English and Russian edition varies a LOT!

Actually i found many things concerning Vanga, even vietnamese articles that makes a whole list of her "predictions"
But some stuff in it looks rather logical, like she says that in 2050 or something the polar ices will melt completely and dramatically rise sea levels

Paranormal phenomena Empty The ghost thread...

    Post  Rodinazombie 18/08/15, 07:22 am

    Do you believe in ghosts?

I cant say that I do, but I cant say that I dont either, im on the fence until its proven 100% either way. I had a couple of incidents that were very strange and i dont say they were ghosts, but bar me hallucinating I cant find an explanation for them.

Event One - Les Sables d'Olonne, France, 2006

During the summer of 2006 I took a year out and decided to go to france for the year working on holiday sites as a holiday rep. Not the kind of holiday rep you might be used to after seeing the debauchery of british holiday reps in spain though, we were quite mild.

We used to live in static caravans, not exactly the spookiest of locations for a ghostly event I grant you but there you have it. The summer was extremely hot, and this day was the hottest of the year, believe it or not it crept up to 47 degrees celsius during the day, a factor that i see as possibly playing a part in this event.

Due to the heat i often would decide to sleep in the living room on the settee with the windows wide open to remain as cool as possible. I went to bed as normal, no strange occurrences happened before sleep. Then, at some point during the night, i dont know why but i estimated between 2-3 am i woke up feeling very cold shivering.

I sat up and it was at this moment i noticed a figure at the other side of the caravan, alls i could make out was a black outline that came slowly towards me. I dont want to say it floated towards me as that sounds like a stereotypical ghost story, but lets just say it didnt seem to walk.

It came close to about six feet away from me and i could see it much clearer now, the outline of the body was as before, completely black with no distinguishing features, the only part of the body that wasnt dark was its face. The face was completely white and quite bright in comparison with the darkness of everything else. It had a large scar that ran down the left side of its face, starting from the forehead right down over the eye to the cheek about level with the mouth. It was smiling in a very what i can only describe as a malevolent and evil way. That look terrified me and gives me goosebumps still thinking of it now.

The 'thing' also was positioned in a curious way, with its head forward and lowered and arms up and level with the head. In its left hand it was holding something sharp and pointy facing downwards, without trying to be dramatic, it looked like either a dagger or a bottle facing downwards. The position it was in reminded me of the stance a man would take whilst in the stocks.

After what seems like hours, it moved backwards and there is a slight gap at the corner where the curve of the kitchen begins. It disappeared into this gap and two or three times it stuck its head around the corner as if it was checking on me. Once a while had passed after the last time i saw it, i managed to break the spell of being frozen to the settee for for god knows how long. The first thing i did was switch all the lights on and sit back on the settee, wondering what the hell happened.

The next thing i knew, it was morning, somehow i had fallen asleep and the smell of coffee being made by the guy who shared my caravan was bringing me back to life. I didnt tell him about what happened at first, though i asked if he got up in the middle of the night. He said he did, and that he was confused because i was sleeping with the lights on.

The fact that the lights were ON shows me i didnt dream this, something did happen, though whether or not the event was something paranormal, me hallucinating due to the heat or my friend playing tricks on me i will never know. I dont believe its the latter as i would have certainly seen him when i turned the lights on, the first two are certainly possible though.

An interesting footnote to this story is that a few weeks later, something similar happened. In the meantime i had been staying at a girls caravan with her (ghosts are a hell of an excuse to get a girl to share a bed) and on the first (or one of) night back at mine i woke up freezing cold in the early hours again and there was this same, palpable atmosphere, exactly the same as the previous time. On this occasion though, nothing appeared, after a while the feeling dissipated and i fell back asleep. I always wonder if this second time was just a reaction in my head to the first event and not actually anything happening.

Thanks for reading this, if anyone has any comments or stories of your own feel free to add them. I will write the second event shortly when i have some time.

Could still have been a hallucination, a waking one that occurs in the boundary between sleep and full-consciousness.
Happened to me quite a few times; I'd see strange or unbelievable things in a half-asleep state that I thought actually happened, but in reality my mind is not yet fully awake, I'm still half-dreaming.

You said you managed to break your parralysis - implying that you were parralysed while watching the spectacle.

While that could be parallysis due to fear - it could also be the sleep-induced paralysis (it's a real thing, caused by a chemical your brain releases) that sometimes doesn't wear off immediately when you're in the initial stages of waking up or have only just woken up (or that comes over you too early, when you're nearly asleep but still kinda awake).
It's this same period that I was talking about in the first paragraph; the half-dream state where you still have the potential to visualize things that aren't real and experience them; like you would in a proper dream.
The paralysis and such hallucinations therefore, often enough go hand in hand.

That you flipped the lights on afterwards proves nothing. Only that you didn't imagine that event, it did happen, but that doesn't mean that you saw anything real.

Changes in temperature will often wake you up. It got too cold, so your body responded. Since your brain's REM sleep process was basically sent an interrupt-signal by your body, and adding in the the deleterious side-effects from your body temperature having gotten too low - waking dreams or nightmares under such conditions do have a higher chance of happening.

Just trying to offer up a rational explanation really.
Of course it could really just be a spooky GHOST though Razz

    Nice post python thanks.

I think more than likely, your non paranormal solution is what happened. When i say i was paralysed, it was through fear or at least it seems to me to have been that way.

Have you heard of night terrors?

If you are interested in it, watch this documentary, its facinating.

The interesting thing is that despite the fact this phenomenon is not caused by some demonic entity, its still terrifying. Often, the scariest thing are to be found in the human cranium.

Ive never completely believed that this event was supernatural, ive felt that there was a logical explanation for it but never been able to completely shake off the feeling that it felt so real. The bit that doesnt ring true for me is how it kept poking its head round the corner after it had gone. Im not a ghost expert but it doesnt seem something that a disembodied spirit would do.

In life, there are always events that don't make sense. Most will try to explain or rationalize it, but no one actually knows. Consciousness is still considered something that no one truly understands. The human brain is a magnificent creation that we know very little about. I am not a religious man, but there are some things in life that makes me question my faith, for both sides of the spectrum really. But then there is of course things like what my grandfather said before he died when he mentioned how he saw both my Baba and my cousin (whom both passed away prior).

Do ghosts exist? I don't think there is. Or at least if there is, we cannot and will not be able to see them. And if they do exist, then I hope none are around me cause it would be embarrassing for me.
