Russia certainly cares for its past. A couple of days ago I just stumbled by accident across some Battery 35 on Crimea videos. What an amazing installation, you could see why it was Navy manned, much like the front of a battledhip. Comparing videos shows a huge amount of work has gone in there over the past 5 years to open them up to the public.

A bit about personel, pamyat-naroda - magnificent source for documents,maps, combat reports of any kind , i even found personal diary of one regiment commander .
sometimes for hard to read those documents, especially related to units where served my grand-fathers .
