This is real funny.
US President hopeful Dr.Ben Carson recently published some papers suggesting that there are Chinese radars in Syria. But guess what, this dunce copied the images from SOC's blog and then cooked up his own story to give it a spin.

He even brags that his sources(albeit plagarized) are better than Obama's
Sean has clarified matters though. Here is the full text:

Sean O'Connor wrote:Contrary to Dr. Ben Carson's opinions otherwise, there is no evidence of overt Chinese military presence in Syria, at least not with my name on it. Recently he posted one of my old images of the Dar Ta izzah EW complex to his Facebook feed, using it as evidence of a Chinese presence.
The Type 120 radar seen there, along with fun and interesting things like JY-27 VHF-band radars seen elsewhere, were imported around 2009. The Syrian situation kicked off to a large extent in the second half of 2011. All of this is mentioned in the report I wrote which the image was extracted from, where it is clearly spelled out that this is only indicative of an export-import relationship.
There may very well be Chinese in Syria. But EW systems imported around 2009 do not illustrate a current Chinese military presence.
Oh, and the Dar Ta izzah complex? That place probably isn't even active anymore. Might've picked a site that still has Chinese sensors definitively in-place and operational.
