I'm from Finland, with very limited understanding about what goes on in Russia military wise. This is mostly due to the language barrier, information in english seems scarce. What we get on the news is very limited, so I'm looking for information that is hopefully less media/governement regulated and from real people. I'm -probably in the vague- hope that understanding and learning about what goes on in the world might help us have less conflicts. If anyone is interested in what goes on here in Finland, feel free to ask. I don't know (or want to know) any secrets, but sharing public information shouldn't be a problem.
I have served in the army for a year, the mandatory conscript service. I've never been in combat or deployed overseas. I have, however, some experience as a military instructor in and after the service. Nothing major, but enough to have some idea how a conscript army can work.
