    Quite a large area.

A complex issue for SDF/US. Hit these villages too hard, which they are well capable of, could get the SAA over the river in protection mode. The risk of dead/injured troops is not what Trump wants 3 months before the election.

This is bullshit. They’re stamping any dissent in eastern Euphrates as mukhabarat action. It’s not gonna fly well. Syrian state will stay far from this, & SDF will hear the brunt of growing anger against their rule, and when that happens no amount of American troops can save them

I would imagine that the security costs will eat any profits. Unless the US provides it for free of course.

More than 4 international companies are trying to contract with the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria .. with different specializations, after the American Delta Company signed its contracts with the Energy Authority in the Autonomous Administration.

    This looks important to me.

The move by the SDF seems to be related , certainly in timing, to the SDF/US upgrade oil infrastructure deal.

It looks on the surface to be the SDF declaring economic war on Damascus. I can't see any other destination for that gas and presumably Damascus was paying for it. This would mean that the SDF have, on the surface, cut off a revenue stream. That's unlikely so perhaps as part of the new deal the US is paying for the gas to stay in the ground as part of their sanctions on Syria.

Whatever it is it could come to a head quickly.

Assad Regime’s Oil Ministry has stated that Syrian Democratic Forces have stopped providing since 5 Days ago 1.2 Million cubic meters of Gas per day, meaning that SDF have stopped 6 Million cubic meters of Gas from going to the Regime, affecting electricity production there

The SDF/Coalition seem to have really pissed off the Tribes east of the Euphrates.

The Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi, arrives at the Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and holds a meeting with the head of the Council of Deir Ezzor and a number of officials in the region to discuss the area.

This visit comes against the background of the tribal meetings that were held in the region following the recent events and protests against the "SDF" policies in the region.

Abdi's visit comes in light of great tension in the security situation in Deir Ezzor governorate, and the start of a form of armed resistance to the influence of the SDF...by their supported media.

    1h
The Preparatory Committee was formed to follow up the meeting of the Euphrates tribes and clans in the house of the Ekidat chiefdom in the town of Theban, east of Deir Ezzor, and it works continuously to form delegations of notables and supervisors++specialized political committees, social and service committees, military committees, and the formation of a permanent short-term committee of all committees representing the entire region

The committees will begin their work upon completion of their full quorum++of all clans and tribes' candidates, and after that the stage of negotiations with the international coalition will begin to fulfill the demands of the people of the region and lift the injustice and injustice that has befallen them and the region, as well as the assassinations and insecurity that have taken place.

We also confirm that any statement not formally issued by the committee, we are not responsible for it.
    Preparatory Committee - Deir Ezzor - Theban - 08/16/2020.

Looks like the SDF has problems in its own ranks. Too much money stolen on the way to the lowest levels by the look of it.

No. Definitely not Orion UAV, but MQ-9 Reaper. Just look at the EO ball placement, on Orion it's set back just right in front of the frontal gear, where as MQ-9 has it's EO ball more forward placed near the tip.

    Orion

Now compare the EO ball placement of the top image and the bottom image with the center image.

Besides that it's been confirmed to be US Reaper drones.

I do not buy the collision claim.   It is wildly improbable but serves to save face from admitting that the "enemy" shot them down.

The Orion rear propeller nose looks nothing like the Reaper and the rudder V is bigger relative to the wings. The Orion is smaller
    than the Reaper.

Collision! my foot. More like the locals in Idlib getting fed up with their leaders getting taken out so often, there might have been another a couple of days ago, by the Slasher Sword Hellfires fired from MQ-9s.

Wonder how the USAF will retaliate? They don't often just take it on the chin, didn't they know who they attacked??? Revenge is a natural reaction when you think you are the King of the Jungle.

Of course not. They would have to have stuck together in a tight clump to produce such the video fireball. Mid air collisions
are rather violent and produce a lot of scattered debris.

Of course there is a non-zero chance that it was a mid air collision of two co-moving drones (why would they be in this formation?)
that was not so violent. But then there would be no chance of the two drones sticking together in a clump.

US use those drone to assasinate people. If it was there it was probably looking for a target. Turkey protected that guy by shooting them down and US try to calm down the situation with a mid air collision story.

It really puts into question the US and it's allies about their aircraft losses. There's many times when they lose aircraft and the reason stated is 'malfunction', when many times it's been speculated that they were shot down.

They presented the "malfunction" story a few years ago in Afghanistan as a chopper went down. Problem was that they hired a russian heli crew to salvage the wreckage and their heli came under very unfriendly fire. And the evil russians told the story to the media!
