Talking of France, that country has the one of the highest mortality rates among those confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 virus, and overall it is the third worst hit country in Europe.

What is interesting is that Paris has the largest "Chinatown" in Europe.


Even New York City and the area around it, which currently is the worst hit part of the U.S.A., has more than a few Chinese living there.

The open borders within EU eased the spread of the virus- I doubt that most infections can be blamed on local/visiting Chinese in France.

Not surprising... probably normal procedure, because when you get a state of emergency called in your state then covid cases get federal funding and support and assistance, while pneumonia is your problem... Covid doesn't kill most of its victims, they normally die of suffocation or pneumonia or related effects... a bit like AIDS didn't kill directly but caused complications that killed...

Of course there is the added factors that if your death toll from covid is high then your demands for curfews and other laws has more weight than measures put in place just in case. America also loves to be the victim too... why does everyone hate our freedom?
