    You had two posts that looked the same so I deleted one of them.

    You have a point regarding training, which is of course very important to how an air force performs, but having decent modern aircraft that are supported and maintained is important too.

    Some South American pilots are very capable... the Argentinian pilots during the Falklands war in 1982 displayed impressive skill and also bravery attacking British ships, though their results in air to air combat do not really reflect that.


    You mean like their navy? Where 50% of their most advanced war ships got sunk by a cruise ship last year?

    Same thing happened to Norway didn't it, when their best and most powerful ship ran into an oil tanker didn't it?
