The Iranians are not jihadists, they don't spread groups like the Saudis do. If you don't attack them they won't attack you, Iran does not need do that. They have interests in their region but every country has that.

If "Uncle Sam" wanted to attack Iran, they would have done around 2004/2005/2006, when Iran was more isolated, when Russia was not as powerful, when China was not as powerful.

Turkey is a good example of this, even after the shoot down of the Russian jet, Russia still found a way to become "partners" with them and they helped Erdogan with the coup attempt against him and now Turkey is buying the S 400, while giving the middle finger to NATO, something like this but to a lesser degree would happen with Saudis.

Iran is not the same thing as Saudi Arabia because the Saudis follow orders from Israel/US. The only reason these jihadists exist is because it benefits Israel. As far as Russia is concerned it has more to gain with cooperation with Turkey and Iran than it has to be petty and stew in its own juices over what has happened in the past.

Russia can treat Iran like an enemy for Iranian support against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan and a thousand other transgressions by both sides, it can also treat Germany, France, Turkey, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the UK, the US and Japan, and China and almost every other country on the planet that has ever done a bad thing to Russia as an enemy, but it that really in their interests... to become North Korea and Cuba all rolled in to one?

Perhaps Russia will have better relations with Turkey and Iran than they have with the US and the west, or perhaps not, but they would be fools to shun trade and ties political and military with these two countries because of what has happened in the past.

Russia has no reason to be best buddies with Iran... except for the fact that they are pretty much in the same shit box because the west has put both countries there. Iran has no reason to be best buddies with Russia, there is no history of each country covering the other and helping out even when they could have stabbed them in the back and stolen their stuff.

They face a similar situation with similar opponents... in fact on paper the Iranian position is better than the Russian position in the sense that the EU doesn't openly hate Iran right now and want to make money there... but as the US ratchets up the pressure and the EU countries back down and Iran feels like everyone is sanctioning them... why are they sticking to an agreement the EU and the US are not honouring... when the Iranians pull out completely of course the EU haven't the spine to hold up their end of the bargain and they will of course blame Iran for everything... the whole failure of the deal will be Irans fault...

That is why Iran needs Russia and China and India and any other big country they can trade with that are not afraid of US sanctions... Russia especially because there are few more things the US can sanction them for any more.

Regards Iran being helped by economic links with Russia or China or Turkey, as a way out, this I don't think will work. Because USA forms larger market. And third countries and business, will pick the bigger market. There is a chance that Iran can survive this, without going to war. By resistance economy. But this is very difficult to achieve in short term. With disorganised society like Iran.

Even if Iran survives, without going to war. The Yanks will not sit idle, and leave the arena empty. They are going to all this trouble, to recapture their lost position in Iran. A colony. Monopoly of markets in Iran. So they will put pressure up. Like capturing Iranian oil Tanker. Or sending drone in. Or increasing ships in region.

What I am saying is that you can make money working with poor people helping them out of poverty and improving their situation... you can also make money making things for rich people but in my experience rich people are rich because they are tight so you are never going to be accepted by them and they are probably screwing you over on the price anyway.

The reality is that if you only want to go west then you need to factor in that their culture will poison your young which will directly effect the future of your country... there will be no respect for your culture or your history... it will be just me and what are my rights... and I can do anything I like...

What they should be doing is setting up fake coastal defensive settings... but it is critical that you ensure that at the fake sites there is activity... have poker games there or something where a dozen men go there for a few hours every day and just play cards under cover... many fake sites are identified as fake sites because there is no human or electronic traffic there...
