It is not easy to tell, but it looks like the SAA has more resources to grind down Daesh even after being exhausted by years of military
losses. By the same token, Daesh seems to have depleted the jihadi pool. This is probably not too surprising because most jihadis
appear to be nothing more than mercenaries and once the Gulf state and Saudi money flow was reduced, the show was over.

ISIS is done. Just a matter of when.

"Some fifty-six Syrian Army soldiers who went missing in the midst of a huge ISIS offensive throughout southeastern Raqqa Governorate about four days ago have arrived, interestingly enough, at a large army base in Hasakah Governorate.

These army soldiers had been routed during the initial shock phase of a surprise offensive by seasoned ISIS forces in southeast Raqqa.

Separated from their units, they made their way towards lines of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who then transported them to a large Syrian Army base south of the city of Qamishli in Hasakah Governorate.

Now back in service with the Syrian Army, the troops are to be airlifted to Damascus after which they will be re-assigned duties."

Syrian Army liberated some points near Panorama in Deir Ezzor

SAA in Deir Ezzor seems to be expanding thier turf, thus paving the way to their quicker salvation and end of the siege.

Side effect of reclaiming the border with Lebanon. At that height an AD radar would have a really useful range. Good spot for an outpost of the integrated SyAF/RuAF AD system, maybe even some revenge for the AN/TPY-2 radar near Malatya in Turkey (see link at bottom).

The only thing I can give you is that there was a claim awhile back it would free up 5,000 men when liberated. I would suspect there are more involved.
The only allied forces that I have seen mentioned is the Palestinians who are operating in the southwest quadrant. The rest is a mix match of SAA, NDF with possibly a few Republican Guards in the northeast and 5th Corps in the southeast. The Qalamoun Shield is operating in the northwest quadrant. They were one of the first units retrained by the Russians and include ex Marines and Desert Hawks... it is a militia not regular army unit recruited from Latakia and Tartus provinces.
