That will be epic fail, true tragic commedy of war. Twisted Evil  I think Iranians should buy a lot of popcorn to watch this show. Destruction of both, Saudi Arabia and Qatar will actually bring peace to the World.

MiG-23ML is fighter, not attack plane like MiG-23BN. It was not shot down but had technical failure. Russia continues to withhold MiG-29M2 Syria ordered before 2011 because Russia wants every Syrian pilot dead. Russia do this for its buddy buddy Israel. One way love affair. Russia loves Israel. Israel doesn't return the favor and refuses to import a single piece of Russian hardware.

Well this is an area that IS shouldn't have been allowed to setup shop in the first place. Let alone exist there right now. I say the area East of Salamiyah needs to be cleared asap from IS within the month if possible. Same for the route to Sukhna-Deir Ezzor.

They were not advancing over ISIS. ISIS is east of Palmyra.

That convoy would have been more useful if sent east towards DeZ (main objective of whole war ATM if anyone remembers). What did they expect would happen?

ISIS is located in many parts of Syria East homs and North in RAqqa. What are you talking about? They also in the south border with jordan and Israel. so you are wrong. Israel even said ISIS bombed their border guards by mistake.. so you are wrong. And what are you doing justifying US bombing in Syrian forces that many times have Russian advisors and special forces ?   Neutral

Is there any way for the Syrian Airforce to massacre the Al Tanf NATO shits with plausible deniability and swiftly capture the border crossing? Syria may take some tomahawks but this time Russia will be prepared to shoot them down.

I would love nothing more than to see a killing field filled with goatfuckers and americans side by side.

They created /creating a safe zone for terrorist that covers thousands kilometers from IRAQ and Jordan border. All this events was to be expected . But the Syrian army needs to keep liberating zones ,it cannot stop now to fight US coalition. Eventually they will need to leave.

This will give an interesting route in from the Med.

The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group (GHWBCSG) resumed strikes on the Daesh targets from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, according to the statement of the US Navy.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US warships carried out strikes on Islamic State [Daesh] (banned in Russia) targets from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, the US Navy said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group (GHWBCSG) resumed strike missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, June 6," the statement said. Operation Inherent Resolve is the US-led campaign against the Daesh terrorist group in Iraq and Syria.

"We are resuming a relentless pursuit of ISIS [Daesh] targets, while reinforcing our commitment to partners and allies in the US 6th Fleet area of operations," Rear Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, commander of Carrier Strike Group 2 said in the statement.

The strike group entered the Mediterranean Sea on June 5, the statement said. It last conducted strikes on Daesh targets from March 6-8.

The strike group consists of the flagship USS George H.W. Bush, Carrier Air Wing 8 and Destroyer Squadron 22, guided-missile cruisers Philippine Sea and Hue City as well as the guided-missile destroyers Laboon and Truxtun.

The Syrian war could last 10 ,20 or even 30 years. Because "liberating the borders" will not
end the war ,because once Syria reach them ,will need to face the artillery of the countries at their borders. including a major invasion of a big army to push them back. So Syria needs to keep a balance between avoding casualties as much as possible ,while always moving forward liberating as much territory they can without major risks. and strenghtening their positions and making stronger not only the army but its economy too.
If syria do not create a working economy with jobs for a long time and do not maintain nation unity ,it risk major break up of the society with a new wave of revolutions ,so all the gained terrain will be wasted and reversed without a fight.    This is why Reconcilation is also important. amnesty etc.. Because NATO can continue sending waves of terrorist ,for 2 decades if they are really dedicated on breaking Syria they can do it.

aside that Syria is not a good place for Russia to engage in a war with NATO is surrounded by powerful enemies in all sides. So part of battle planning is to know which places are ideal for battle and which ones are terrible. because the location benefits a lot the enemy way more.
In this case Syria battlefield is way better for NATO to fight than for Russia ,since they can attack Syria from all sides. and Russia have no place to retreat and supplies can be cut.

In the case of Ukraine -donetsk is the other way. NATO will be in a Huge disadvantage there.
Russia mighty dense air defenses there will be unstoppable with endless supply lines. same with Georgia. NATO have no chance to win a fight against Russia there. will be a one side battle and black sea will be all of it withing range of the full scale of Russia airforce.

This is why NATO cannot add Ukraine to NATO ,no matter how much they cry or want it.
Because NATO will be unable to avoid to save face if doesn't help a NATO member. it will be a position NATO cannot defend well.  In Kaliningrad NATO if deploy a big force will be in advantage. and the region over run in no time.. this is in case of a full scale war. Russia will need to use nukes to stop any invasion. but the power advantage in conventional war is for NATO there.

MaT reports that they will soon have operations inside Deir Ezzor Governate, and they will establish a base there.

ISIS has taken some points within Deir-Azor and their offensive is on going.

Syrians are closer and closer to losing this war. At this point, Assad is going to lose. Unless someone gets his act together real god dam fast

Daraa is a pointless offensive and Tan-if well that could have waited, sure it's a legitimate target but it's not of dire important.

Once Deir falls and at this rate it's going to, Kurds or FSA will sweep in.

Again tho anyone with a functional mind can see this.
