The military parade on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of China began on the morning of October 1, 2019 in the main square of the Chinese capital Tiananmen. The parade was hosted by Chairman of the PRC, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping. The current military parade will be the largest in recent decades. As Major General Tsai Zhijun, deputy chief of the military parade’s leadership group reported earlier, almost 15,000 troops, 580 pieces of equipment, 160 aircraft and helicopters are participating in the parade.
