Russian military operation in Ukraine #64 Empty Russian military operation in Ukraine #64

    Post  flamming_python Sat Dec 21, 2024 1:55 am

A shitty deal is tantamount to capitulation. It will very swiftly be followed by a regime change attempt, and then if that succeeds, the break-up of Russia at the hands of traitors. See Syria for all this. But Syria at least had the excuse that it was far outmatched, and did what it could to hold its own while not engaging against the foes which were far stronger than it. With Russia though, it has the capability, but if that capability is not used - it will be eroded. If NATO is not checked then it's only a matter of time until strikes expand to airfields, radars and the same military-industrial facilities involved in producing the Oreshnik or other weapons systems.

So Russia can't sue for peace, and it can't ignore the situation either.

I don't see the Russian elites backing down because I really don't believe that Medvedev's visit to China this month was just for show, or Russia's new alliance with North Korea, or its increasing co-operation with Iran. On the contrary this is all a sign of some serious preparations, and Russia doubling down on its chosen course.

Man you think way too deeply into this -

Russia won’t sign a deal because it has no need to, it is winning, Syrsky went on Le Monde and let the cat out of the bag

Russia has 100k extra soldiers for 2024 , completely blowing the lid off that dumbass Meduza rag claiming Russia has 14k volunteers a month with 35k casualties a month

The whole narrative about huge losses, more losses than Ukraine , and the bad faith statements being made about it are disproven by the commander in chief of the VSU

Not only is the Russian army growing, it does so while the Ukrainian army shrinks at a rapid rate

Trump has nothing to hold over Putin, Biden already drip feeds 500 million of aid , because guess what? There’s nothing left to fucking give

Trump is not dipping into US stockpiles when he has to confront China and Iran

He’s exiting Ukraine, whether he does that with something beneficial for him or not doesn’t really matter, at best he thinks he can get a deal because the Russians have lost 600k men and they really want one

At least that’s what him and his advisors think, because they get their info from the SBU

But he will be told in detail, what the score is - when he realizes there’s nothing at all he can salvage from the conflict , Trump is going to say - peace out , and leave EU holding the bag

At best Trump can lift sanctions from gazprombank to help his real euro friends, Orban and Fico pay for gas

He can also put a moratorium on strikes by cutting the aid, which he will do as Biden has been doing

There’s just nothing left to give , and money isn’t going to help Ukraine

They have a manpower problem, not a weapons problem

So no, there’s no deal to be made except some side deals concerning missile strikes, payment access for Hungary Slovakia and Turkey

In return Trump appeases his voter base, dumps the black hole of Ukraine, and moves on to engage Iran

Putin has no need to take a deal , but it’s worth entertaining for the little trinkets that will come out of talking with Trump directly

    Ukraine still targeting civilians directly:

Footage is circulating online, presumably showing the aftermath of drone strikes on a residential complex in Kazan

" Emergency services arrived at a multi-story residential complex in Kazan in connection with the incident ," authorities reported.

    https://t.me/Slavyangrad/115710

    Update:

Another residential complex in the centre of Kazan was attacked by a Ukrainian kamikaze UAV.

At least three drones attacked the capital of Tatarstan this morning.

Post  Kiko Sat Dec 21, 2024 8:26 am

Present-day Western leaders are straight highfalutin f*cks. They are doomed for collapse:

The West was horrified by the Russian challenge. And did not show up for the duel, by Elena Karaeva for RiaNovosti. 12.21.2024.

The life of a simple globalist is hard and unsightly. It begins with good health and ends with a vengeance. The European Council summit, which gathered in full dress in Brussels, was generous with self-satisfied messages about itself and poisonous statements about us, but in the end it shamefully collapsed even in pan-European opinion. They ignored the Russian challenge to a duel. And who is good enough to be a duelist there anyway?

Not the President of France. Macron, weakened to the limit, realizing that the duel matter definitely smelled like kerosene for him, fled from his allies in Brussels to steer the crisis in Mayotte. However, he was still given a surprise . It turned out that the 155th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (named after Anna of Kiev - and who is that anyway? There was and is only the Russian princess Anna Yaroslavna) that was so pompously prepared by France is "incapable of combat". Because, in addition to the lack of equipment, it also lacks personnel.

In order not to lose the diplomatic ranks completely, Paris promised to prepare "another brigade" and immediately received an asymmetrical response: the population of Mayotte, living for a week after a powerful cyclone without food, water, medicine or rescuers, publicly demanded the president's resignation. And to begin with, they booed him harshly.

Macron's allies, while he was fighting off his fellow citizens, were no less generous with their promises to Kyiv. Confiscation of our assets (and not just interest, as was the case before), reports of a future "victory over Russia" (the EU's chief diplomat Kallas was especially zealous here), future deliveries of air defense systems - in short, the vanity fair was working at maximum in Brussels at the end of this week.

However, the result of this vigorous activity was immediately nullified.

The Russian leader only had to utter a five-letter word.

Putin offered the Westerners a d-u-e-l-o. Our "Oreshnik" against their THAAD. At least in Kiev. At least anywhere. Russia calmly made it clear to the West that it is ready to give in, but only in the choice of the missile meeting place.

After such a proposal, the European media, which had initially decided to collectively ignore "Year in Review with Vladimir Putin", immediately organized live broadcasts of the event on their platforms. Of course - at a time when we are breaking through, and the VSAS, stuffed with NATO equipment and money, are bending over like a Swede at Poltava, it is not the time to underestimate the strength of the Russian spirit and Russian weapons.

Of course, Europeans and Americans were scared. And fear is not only, as we know, the worst of vices: this emotion also prevents one from soberly understanding the situation. And from looking at oneself to evaluate one's desires and one's own actions from the outside.

The third year of our special operation has shown the underside of both Western politics and the Western military machine. Today we know how they make decisions, how they try to cast a shadow over the fence, how they dream of escaping responsibility. How they shamelessly set up, betray, sell out. How they spit on the principles they themselves declare. The main one of which is: "Anything that weakens Russia and leads to its strategic defeat is good enough."

The West made a terrible mistake, since all those restrictions, limitations, prohibitive packages and other sanctions were adopted and introduced against us, focusing in judgments exclusively on itself, its beloved self. On its own poor geology, shameful history of military conflicts - almost always with weaker opponents, on the dormant horror of defeats. And also on a society corrupted by the vicious consumption of everything - from emotions to food. Let's add to the list the catastrophically degraded elites. And here it is before us - a recipe for fiasco, compiled and prepared by the West itself for its own geopolitical funeral.

Even the question of whom we Russians will invite to seal our victory is unclear. It is clear that the dismissed Scholz will not be present. That the weakened Macron will try, as has become his habit, to slip away. There will be a gaping hole prepared for Johnson and his "good haircut". Stoltenberg is missing. And his friend with the letter "b" - Biden.

All those who set two fraternal nations against each other (receiving large benefits for this – financial and political) will be gone.

The geopolitical game started by the Westerners - and this is clear from the reports of our Ministry of Defence - has entered the endgame. And in what terms can we evaluate the situation when the Pentagon talks about the "last aid package for Ukraine"?

The Brussels two-day gathering, despite the official agenda and optimistic statements about "unwavering support for Kyiv," was organized in order to understand where Europe would go if the US refused to continue sponsoring all these bloody games. The first part of the answer, in which direction the European Union would set off on its walking (fuel-wise - yok) journey, was received.

The second part of the answer - regarding the possible introduction of a military contingent into Ukraine - was given by Brussels itself. It is impossible to assemble these forces under the NATO flag, since the decision requires consensus, and it is unrealistic to achieve it in the current political configuration. Well, the Franco-British-Baltic flutterings (the exact name of the "preliminary consultations of European countries") on this matter are irrelevant due to the lack of combat-ready military units among these "players".

Failure to appear at a sporting event without a valid reason means automatic loss of the competition.

Failure to show up for a duel means the same thing. But on a global scale and in front of the entire planet. Defeat in the geopolitical game of the collective West turned out to be both predictable and shameful.

    To Arkangels

Russia won’t sign a deal because it has no need to, it is winning, Syrsky went on Le Monde and let the cat out of the bag

Agree, but there is carrot and a stick game and testing the waters, that many here seem to fall for it

Russia has 100k extra soldiers for 2024 , completely blowing the lid off that dumbass Meduza rag claiming Russia has 14k volunteers a month with 35k casualties a month

I believe Meduza is mostly right about volunteers/contracts per month, it's big number. For casualties - look at Mediazona. It records roughly 3000 confirmed KIAs per month. With MIA/WIA, that would be around +7/8K. There is percentage of WIAs that come back to service. Keeping in mind that Russia is advancing and don't really worry much about casualties, they can regenerate even during offensive operations.

The whole narrative about huge losses, more losses than Ukraine , and the bad faith statements being made about it are disproven by the commander in chief of the VSU

I wouldn't trust Ukrainian if he said that water is wet.

Now, your definition of losses might warry, is it WW2 level of losses? No. Is it Afgan/Chechen war of losses? No. It's something in between. Soviet losses where roughly 185k KIA per month during WW2, both Russian and Ukrainian propaganda uses even bigger numbers. But let's not be their target audience Very Happy

Not only is the Russian army growing, it does so while the Ukrainian army shrinks at a rapid rate

That's absolutely true, not to mention quality of Ukrainian army is decreasing rapidly, both soldiers and officers are already third rate.

Trump has nothing to hold over Putin, Biden already drip feeds 500 million of aid , because guess what? There’s nothing left to fucking give

USA already touched their active service equipment and even reserves, giving stuff free is bad for business also, sprinkle some refurb contracts and you might have something collecting scraps from desert, now there is no financial incentive. And this is even with Biden.

He’s exiting Ukraine, whether he does that with something beneficial for him or not doesn’t really matter, at best he thinks he can get a deal because the Russians have lost 600k men and they really want one

At least that’s what him and his advisors think, because they get their info from the SBU

Trump was advised again about the real casualties, 600k number was a tweet written by someone from his team while he was in France. Check again yourself.

But he will be told in detail, what the score is - when he realizes there’s nothing at all he can salvage from the conflict , Trump is going to say - peace out , and leave EU holding the bag

Would be good, but knowing him, he will ESCALATE to DE-ESCALATE. And it could be very dangerous game. Don't forget, he surrounded himself with anti-Russian warhawks and if let loose, they might cause headaches.

According to sources, the Russian General Staff was not prepared for today's attack on Kazan. "We were expecting long-range strikes on the border, but here the drones are already far away." According to the insider, Trump has already asked Putin to show restraint until January: then, they say, the "reconciliation" process will be easier. However, Russia's lack of response after the attack will cause "indignation among the residents of our country." The choice is not easy.

The topic of negotiations that has loomed on the horizon is pushing Ukraine to more active and unpredictable actions in order to knock out more favorable positions for dialogue. "This is not the last provocation. Before Trump's inauguration, there will be more drones, long-range missiles, sabotage operations, and possibly an invasion of Russian territory. This fits into the logic of the Ukrainian government, which believes that the negotiation process at this stage is premature, since Ukraine is in unfavorable conditions," the source says.

That's OK, not that you would understand anyway. I don't think you care more apart from hurrah surface level "analysis"

I am sure veterans of 2nd Chechen/Georgian war can manage war. Non-statutory practices - not so much.

Not everyone is in Morpekhi/VDV or Guards where these things are unheard.

Russia is aware of him being wildcard. As I have mentioned, his MO is to ESCALATE to DEESCALATE. Although, this escalation can be very painful... For Europeans and Ukrainians.

I personally want to see limited intervention in Ukraine from "coalition of the willing", yet after so much bluffing, everyone is getting cold feet. I don't think even baltics would sign up for this. (They finally got rid of their war-hawk/war-chaochao PM)

    Take that!

The Russian military, among other targets, hit a CIA station in Kiev, analyst and program director of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Stepanov told TASS.

"Available reports indicate that, in addition to energy facilities, NATO intelligence service bases were also hit, including the "Alpha" special group of the Security Service of Ukraine and the CIA station in the Holiday Inn," Stepanov said.

As I've commented before, these are their Foreign Office officials being moved out so that the top members of the 'In Crowd' can move safely out of Ukraine clutching their bags of gold etc. before the curtain comes down.

Note my post yesterday about the cyber attack included a mention that it captured all the Land Registry data on who owns what properties and land in Ukraine. Valuable info.

    Maria Zakharova:

“Zelensky has made significant reshuffles in the diplomatic corps. He dismissed Ukraine’s ambassadors to China, Japan, Indonesia, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Rwanda. Additionally, the representative to the UN, Kyslytsia, was removed. As previously reported, he will be replaced by Melnyk, who was expelled from Germany for making offensive remarks.

Ivan Krylov once wrote about situations like this:

“And you, my friends, no matter how you sit, you’ll never make good musicians.””

Send them all to the grinder… everyone… spare no one. Except the oligarchs’ kids, of course—because they’re special.

🇺🇦 The Ukrainian General Staff has ordered the Air Force to reassign air defense personnel to infantry units due to a shortage of manpower on the front lines.

This is reported by The Guardian.

"Some of them were trained in the West and knew how air defense systems worked. Now they are being sent to the front to fight," the publication says, citing a source in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the article, this decision is due to the Zelensky regime's firm reluctance to lower the conscription age once again.

In other words, Western patrons are signaling to Zelensky that, since he has begun utilizing the male population of Ukraine, he should continue to the end.

They have just ordered a transfer of air defense units soldiers to the infantry, which tells us a lot about the number of AD left as well.
    London Bridge is falling down.

Come on son, that's just a weak excuse. You got caught making up shit with no backing and now you're backtracking like a bitch. Razz

The only thing I would throw you is pagpag on the floor, otherwise you're not worth the energy - worthless, loud, obnoxious that purposely irritates other people. Let me neatly pack you into ignore list.

Trump will try to finish this war, asap. This would start his presidency with a bang and he would fulfill his campaign promises. Proposed terms of the agreement will not be easy on Russia. I have a feeling that NATO in Ukraine will not be off the table, but only temporarily frozen for x amount of year or, at the very least, Ukraine will be armed to the brim and also full 4 regions for Russia will not happen. While territorial gains are not as important, demilitarization is. Since, accepting those terms would be treasonous, attacks will restart. I can't really see what is Putin trying to gain here, unless he is ready to sign some sort of a deal. wrote:

The pressure is all on Trump, he has made the committment to end it, Putin has made no committments and Russia is moving forward. There are no weapons the US can give Ukraine to turn it around, Trump negitiated the surrender to the Taliban so he has no illusions of victory. He can either waste away his presidency of end this quick and take a small politcal hit and move on. Putin will still be in power when he leaves office. If he plays hardball then he gets a political hit from each Russian victory and the risk of a complete humiliation when Ukraine surrenders unconditonally to Russia. Its kinda like flying a plane with failed engines, you can keep your speed up and have a controlled impact, or avoid the reality, stall out and crash. The least bad option is all Trump is left with. But who knows maybe they have some other way to attack Russia we have not anticipated, like the Syria operation for example.

I will just give you one example.
The real moment when the nazis realized that they have lost the war, was in a Q4/43.
What they did, was start transferring the logistics units and soldiers to the frontlines.
They knew that the supply stream would drain.
We are facing the same - Germany is closing repair infrastructure in Slovakia, while AD units soldiers are being transferred to the trenches. There was some news 2 months ago that they have scaled down "mechanized brigades" to "infantry" status ...
