Widespread demonstrations in Syria; this time Alawites!

Today, Syrian Alawites took to the streets to protest an attack by terrorist groups on the tomb of Hussein bin Hamdan al-Khasibi, a revered Alawite scholar. Demonstrations erupted in the provinces of Latakia, Tartus, Homs, Hama, and Damascus, where members of militant groups clashed with protesters and opened fire.

During the protests, demonstrators chanted: "Ya Ali, or Labaik al-Khasibi."

These demonstrations occur amidst ongoing blind assassinations, attacks on churches, and sacred sites of Christians and other ethnic and religious groups. The transitional government of Turkey-affiliated terrorist groups has not yet managed to establish security and sovereignty in Syria.

That is a bit harsh, it was not ordinary people that betrayed the Syrian state, it was Assad for not listening to Russia and Iran(in 2018 he should have talked to Erdogan) and Assad should have not been talked into what the Gulf countries were telling him.

Assad also fried the generals that were with during 2011-2016(these generals fought very hard and was one of the reasons that Assad, was able to stay in power during 2011-2016(the hardest part of the war.)

Assad limited Iran's presence in a huge way and Iran was shipping over a shit ton of oil, sending military advisors and all sorts of other stuff, not a very wise thing to do.

The sanctions basically destroyed Syria and was one of the main reasons, why what happened, happened. The generals got bought off by the US and the collective west and than after that it was mostly over.

So, the people are not the the problem here, had Assad listened to Russia and Iran, he would still be in power and people would be fighting for Assad, this happened so fast that people had no idea what was happening.

Maybe it was harsh. But it's true. And same is happening in other Russian allied states.

But when HTS started rampaging through, no one rose up. Because in the end, they didn't care until it started to affect them directly.

The Ministry of Interior of the Syrian transitional government announced that 14 militants affiliated with the government were killed and 10 others were injured in clashes in Tartus province yesterday.

Most of these militants were from terrorist groups, including Tahrir al-Sham, who had been deployed to Tartus to suppress Alawite protests. However, they were ambushed and killed by former Syrian army forces.

True and this also applies to the current HTS terrorists occupying portions of Syria. At the moment, Russia still has control over its bases in the coastal areas. Russia will have to hold on to these bases despite demands from NAziTO.

Right now Russia is pre occupied with Ukraine, but soon when Ukraine is absorbed into Russia, Russia can free up some forces to take over its piece of Syria and KILL the HTS leadership if they dare to oppose this move.

This man is a rival of Jolani, both supported by the CIA in their early careers and also now in a suit. Could prove interesting.

Al-Qaeda veteran appointed as Syria's intelligence chief

The Syrian General Command has appointed Anas Hassan Khattab as director of the General Intelligence Agency, giving him direct control over the widely known Mukhabarat.

Khattab's extremist past includes his role as a founder of Jabhat al-Nusra (the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and his role as emir of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) during the 2000s.

This move solidifies Khattab's hold over the Syrian intelligence apparatus, but at the same time gives him enormous power to carry out violence under the guise of state security.
