This whole campaign against Iran has one end goal in mind, to attack Irans nuclear capability. Hamas gone, Syria gone. This is next
The original agreement with Iran was for Iran to expose all its nuclear experts and the sites where work on nuclear technology was going on so they could locate them and assess their options for attacking such sites.
The sanctions were dropped to recon potential targets... humans and physical locations...
The time scale turned out to be too short and Iran was growing and developing too fast under the scheme so Trump ended it before the restrictions were dropped and Iran could rearm and make attacks on the country much more problematic.
The US withdrawing didn't have the desired effect because Russia and China still honoured it and could supply modern capable weapons when those restrictions expired... Trump had the choice to attack and chose not to.
They have, however painted themselves into a corner because being part of BRICS, Iran is only going to grow and develop and get stronger and the US and the west can't really fund Israel to match that... they have their own problems... they need a justification.
Ironically what they really need is Hazelnut... a conventional way to strike deeply buried targets you want to cook at very high temperatures.
Hazelnut would also be ideal for underground bio weapons labs... 4,000 degrees C would be a good way to render most pathogens inert.
