I would say it is Kalibr. wrote:
Right. Kinzhal, at its terminal speed, would probably not be visible to the eye, or very faintly. Probably better in slow motion video.

Kinzhal would be travelling at least four times faster than a rifle bullet...
A normal camera takes a still image 25 times a second.... a Kinzhal at altitude moves 3km in that time, so divide 3km by 25 and you get a line 600m long...
If it is a long way away you should be able to follow it with your eye, but the closer you are the harder it will be to follow.

Obviously not the same, hence two different designations. Similar sure, but then again, we have 5-6 versions of base Al-31, as well.GarryB wrote:
No mistake. The Izd117s is the engine for the Su-35s and first stage Su-57s isn't it?
Also called Al-41.
The Su-30s are now going to be fitted with the same engine that is used in the Su-35 and also used in the first stage Su-57, so that all three aircraft types will have the same engine.. the Izd117S/Al-41.
The upgrade engine for the Su-57 is the Izd30, or Al-51 isn't it?
Weren't they also going to fit the Al-41 to the Su-34 as well?
Su-35S - Izdeliye 117s or AL-41F-1S;
Su-57 first stage -Izdeliye 117 or AL-41F-1

Maximization of skilled personnel losses.
They were avoiding that for 2 years.
Edit : and by the way, the hospital was clearly hit by a failed AD missile.
It is same missile Arrow asked if it's Kinzhal - you can see some small wings there in the middle, that is why I considered it as Kalibr. Now it's clear. Friendly fire covered with massive propaganda of pesky Russkie attacking hospital.
But looks that the locals don't eat that shit anymore.
It looks like PAC3 or NASAMS missile

It’s irrelevant to me, many still think that looking good is still important
Let me remind no other country has put themselves through the burden of fighting a chivalrous war like Russia has
And it has cost 120k KIA and 3 times wounded
I’m just glad the charade is over and I hope more happens
The faster Ukrainian infrastructure and personnel are removed, the easier it will be for Russian troops to denazify the country
This is a good thing people

Russia was targeting military objects in Kiev, and the strike on the hospital was caused by an AIM-120 air defense missile from the NASAMS system used by the Ukrainian side. This is evidenced by the proportional dimensions of the missile (diameter and length) and the nature of the damage (collapse of only a small part of the building and shrapnel damage on neighboring buildings). Footage showing shrapnel typical of air defense missiles was shared directly on Ukrainian Telegram channels.
The length of the AIM-120 missile is 366 cm, the diameter is 17.8 cm, and the length-to-diameter ratio is 1/20.6. For the X-101, these parameters are 745 cm, 74.2 cm, with a ratio of 1/10, and for the Kh-55, they are 588 cm, 51.4 cm, with a ratio of 1/11.4. In the screenshot from the video, it is clearly visible that even with the angle of the footage, the length of the missile exceeds its diameter by more than 15 times.
Indirect evidence includes the absence of the characteristic sound of Russian missile engines (the whistle in the second video is present but differs from that of a X-101) and the arrival of the projectile from the western direction.

I wonder where the signs are, in Russian society, of these half a million casualties

Su-35S - Izdeliye 117s or AL-41F-1S;
Su-57 first stage -Izdeliye 117 or AL-41F-1
Obviously totally different... one is a turboprop isn't it?
So essentially the Su-57 got a stop gap engine based on the engine used in the Su-35.
The Su-34 and Su-30 each had different engines again.
Obviously the Su-57 is getting a new engine.
So what are you bitching about... the 4th gen Flankers have Al-41s and the 5th gen Sukhois are likely going to have Al-51s.
What is the problem?
Whether it was NASAMS, pac3, 5V55 , or KH101
It’s irrelevant to me, many still think that looking good is still important
I would say the opposite... this was Ukrainian own goals and not an indication that Russia has taken the gloves off and is now fighting dirty.
Might be a while back given the ground cover but I can't remember a salvo like this
Looks like runway cratering munitions... often carried in large numbers in cluster bombs, often other times a single free fall rocket powered bomb that is released by parachute and when it gets to a specific height above the ground the rocket motor drives the bomb down into the dirt or runway surface and then the bomb explodes deep under ground with the intention of shattering underlying foundations or underground bunkers.
Russia was targeting military objects in Kiev, and the strike on the hospital was caused by an AIM-120 air defense missile from the NASAMS system used by the Ukrainian side.
Happy with the explainations and proof, but I would add that Kiev and HATO would very much likely hide HQs and important military units in childrens hospitals and Churches and orphanages, and pet sanctuaries, not to mention circuses and old peoples homes...

Pretty soon, there will be an army of little puppies fighting in ranks of 404, so every strike will be animal and barbaric

I don't see a turboprop in there but anyway...the 4th gen Su-27 Flanker family all have AL-31 engines.
For example all the 4th generation Su-27's have the AL-31F, whilst the Su-33 have the uprated AL-31F3.
Even the 4+ generation Flankers have AL-31 variants. The Su-34 have AL-31FM1's and the Su-30's have the AL-31FL/PL.
Only Flankers of the 4++ generation have the AL-41F1S (Su-35 and Su-30SM2)
The initial Su-57 have the AL-41F1 until the AL-51 becomes available.
