According to wiki 280k people reach military age every year. They just lost a generation of people in 1 year and among them their most skilled troops.
The one missing is way higher IMO. Most aren't recovered from the front whe they die.

Before levelling everything in Bakhmut , once encirclement complete , then better to leaflet the area and offer any troops left leniency , if they surrendered and put weapons down . Give directions as to safe corridor . Once Ukrs troops surrendered , then photograph and fingerprint them and release , providing they sign agreement not to attack Russians . If they return , then no leniency this time .

One thing that puzzles me is that the number of Pukraine/Washington controlled regime "crippled" is basically less than the number dead.
Whereas don't we "normally" expect the figure to be 1 to 3 or 1 to 5 etc?
So, I wonder... is the number "serious long term injury" or "crippled" actually substantially higher?
Or has the Washington regime been absolutely absymal at treating its injured?

I wonder what the pool of recruits left is? Surely there can't be much more than 22m or so men women and kids.
So thats 11m males, and maybe 6 or 7m males from 20 to 60 yrs of age. Perhaps some way less.
Male life expectancy in 2013 was just 66 years for men!
All very speculative but I wonder when/where the breaking point would be? Remember too that foreign soldiers are appearing eg Americans, Polaks etc.

@Alamo. I agree Wikipedia has v limited use. male military age available is probably substantially below what Wikipedia says. Even the UN stats are dubious.
The whole country is prob 22m approximately. But with the killed, the substantial numbers who left and the demographics even beforehand, its clear there isn't that big a pool left to recruit from.

Prigozhin & co. have already been addressing Zelensky directly to vacate his troops from Bakhmut rather than keep them there to the end, implying that his troops will let them retreat.
Which makes sense as Prigozhin likely wants to limit his own casualties from vicious urban fighting. And there is a psychological/PR angle here as well.

The mental ideological reorientation is compulsory for extremists , and may take several years to complete . With assessments and examination that detainees must pass . This education is so intricate and comprehensive , that without genuine love of the subject ( Anti- racism ) that no student is able to pass the exam and be released . Second is physical environment ; and if POW returned to the area , where environment full of Nazi and only way to make a living is NATO money to fight Russia , then all the education will not save them . They are released into healthy normal environment with job and chance for normal life , not back to Azov .

First, it is an artillery war which means more blast, shrapnel and flying debris, leading to serious internal damage, limb damage and especially concussion.
Second, the front line medical support and medivac generally seem to be very basic if there at all. We never hear of field hospitals and the hospitals in the rear towns seem to be seriously overloaded.
This leads to the situation where, for the first time in a long time for a Western army, if you are injured the magic hour doesn't exist and the chance of living is low.
This leads to totally new dead/injured proportions, complicated by the unusual way that the Ukrainians are collecting the figures..

The 280,000 per year of military age is assuming women are included. Plug in the numbers for Ukraine of births per 1000 per year and
the generously high total population of 35 million and you get this number.
So the delusional number is 140,000 and the real number is probably around 100,000. If they really had this many, then they would
not need to be dredging up 14 year olds and 60 year olds. It appears that most of the military age males have run off to save themselves.
