Col. Douglas McGergor has an excellent understanding of the situation:

Retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor: We are in a very dangerous position right now. The President of the United States wants Ukrainian pilots to go to Poland, climb into combat aircraft and fly to Ukraine to fight against Russia. This is the first decisive step across the red line that can make us participants in the war in Ukraine.
Moscow will not take this lightly. They have shown great restraint towards us, even though we have continued to supply large amounts of military equipment to the people they are fighting. But this step will take us too far.
The answers range from tactical guided missiles to destroy every airfield in Poland, or anywhere in Europe, to a nuclear strike. The good news is that Putin won't launch a nuclear strike if we don't. But still, it's dangerous, and no one seems to be paying attention.
Another important point: for Russians, this is a matter of survival. They will not allow Ukraine to join NATO or any other alliance that targets Russia. They need a neutral Ukraine. And we have to accept that. We must engage in de-escalation, not escalation.
What the Ukrainians say, we should take with reservations. In my experience, it's impossible to know exactly what's going on on the battlefield unless you're there yourself. We must keep in mind that much of what we hear from both sides may not be accurate.
[What is the US plan? Extend the war in Ukraine to what end?] I think the plan is to drag out the fighting with the expectation that eventually the Russians will be driven out of Ukraine. And if the Russian army cannot be driven out, and I think many people understand that this will not happen, then the plan is to completely destroy Ukraine by turning it into a quasi-Afghanistan.
That won't happen either. This will not happen because the Europeans will not agree to it. The Germans have made it clear that they will continue to buy energy and food from Russia, as many European countries do. Sanctions will do a lot of harm to us and will not affect Russia much.
China will stay with Russia. Russia has a lot of food and energy – China will take everything. Russia will not suffer as a result of our sanctions. We can only harm the financial system that we use to punish everyone we don't like.

Its normal they will lose a few jets and helicopters. Ukraine is not some african country. But important is Russia wins this war with minimum cassualties. They can buy new planes

It was 2. I think some others were mistaken for Ukrainian Su-27 and just used for propaganda. Also a Su-30 was lost too so it may be one of those mistaken.

Wikipedia is edited by western groups. Probably says Ukraine destroy 6 gorillion amount of Russian troops and took Moscow. So who cares what Wikipedia says.

So Russia is now the most sanctioned country on earth 5,530 sanctions more than Iran or North Korea. Must have hit a nerve with the west. Despite all these sanctions Russia doesn't seem to care and the sanctions haven't stopped them. All these yet the west continues to hurt itself with these so-called sanctions quite funny really. Goes to show sanctions aren't as effective as the west makes out

According to this link, Russia lost 140+ tanks (destroyed and captured), while Ukraine lost only 40 ... So how come Ukrainian tanks are not in front of Moscow, if that is already the case? the internet has become just a western tool of propaganda

It doesn't matter honestly. Most of us know it's propaganda. Maybe some members here like Isos believes em all but most of us don't. Russians aren't saying much and Ukraine uses a lot of fake footage and videos.

Like I said, they are making massive claims while Russia is silent.

Now tell me, with Russians sending 70K troops into Ukraine vs Ukraines 100,000+ troops, and volunteers and what not, with Russia winning with having taken roughly 40% of the country with a smaller force, then ask yourself "how have they lost more than Ukraine with a smaller force and winning the war?"

Rutube is a great opportunity for russians and not just Russians. Honestly, they need to have an English, Hindi and Cantonese/Mandarin language for that site and VK.
