The Ukrainians really want to piss off the SE EU countries.
The AFU attempted to attack the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Bryansk Oblast, shortly after Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico reminded Ukraine of the potential suspension of electricity supplies.
The strike on the facility in the village of Mamai occurred at 4:30 a.m. today, reportedly using a "Peklo" rocket-drone. The pipeline itself was not damaged, but a technical building on the premises was partially destroyed. No casualties were reported. The affected section of the pipeline is the last pumping point before the border, supplying oil to Europe.
Earlier, Fico stated that Slovakia would assess the situation with Russian gas transit through Ukraine and consider retaliatory measures against Kyiv, including suspending electricity supplies. Yesterday, he reiterated this warning, hinting at potential "tensions." This follows Gazprom's announcement that gas supplies to Moldova and Ukraine would cease starting January 1, as Kyiv declined to extend the contract.
