🇮🇶| Abu Alaa al-Wala'i, the SG of Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Iraqi resistance faction:

The thing that everyone must understand, foremost the Turkish regime and the Zionist entity, is that Syria will no longer be a dumping ground for your human waste. Just as we helped thwart your schemes against it in the past, we are ready today with greater determination & deeper conviction.

The Turkish government is determined to drag its economically struggling people into the furnace of futile battles in which they have no stake.

Despite the fact that the collapse of the Turkish lira nearly pushed Turkey’s economy to the brink, it was the increase in trade with Iraq that alleviated the pressure and served as a lifeline for the ungrateful neighbor. Nevertheless, Erdogan continues to gamble with his political future, believing that this will secure him a role in the new Middle East promised by his secret ally, Netanyahu.

➡The Iraqi resistance enters the Syrian counter-offensive.

🇸🇾 Syrian Armed Forces are successfully repelling terrorist attack and will soon launch counteroffensive – Syrian Armed Forces Command

The Syrian Armed Forces are successfully and decisively repelling a terrorist attack (https://t.me/geopolitics_live/38239) and will soon launch a counteroffensive to liberate all territories, the Syrian Armed Forces Command said in a statement.

"The command of the army and armed forces confirms that the process of repelling the terrorist attack is proceeding successfully and decisively. Soon, a counteroffensive will take place to regain control over all areas and liberate them from the scourge of terrorism," the statement read.

Syrian army reinforcements have arrived in Hama, and government operations are continuing as usual, according to the province's governor Kamal Barmo. He also denounced reports of terrorist vehicles entering Hama as false. Earlier, the Syrian Defense Ministry dismissed claims about the entry of terrorist groups into cities in northern Hama province as untrue.

On Saturday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad reiterated that Syria will continue defending its territorial integrity and is capable of defeating terrorists with the help of its allies and friends (https://t.me/geopolitics_live/38229).

🇸🇾 The information war is in full swing

Some of the terrorist propaganda that was spread by HTS-affiliated media and found its way into the cyberspace today:

    – They reported a 'coup' in Damascus, after a video went viral of gunfire in the city. This found its way almost everywhere, including Al-Jazeera. In reality, it was SAA forces engaging with local sleeper cells.

    – During the above event, they also falsely claimed that SAA divisions were negotiating with HTS in order to join the opposition.

    – They uploaded videos of SAA convoys in Hama, and falsely passed them off as HTS convoys, in order to give the impression that HTS captured the city (even I fell for this).

    – They uploaded videos of SAA convoys 'leaving' the city of Hama, while in fact they were entering the city.

    – They sent cars with two or three armed fighters to the very outskirts of Hama, took a video, and left, to make it seem like HTS had entered Hama.

    – They spread a fake image of dead HTS leader Al-Jolani, then claiming it was posted by SAA accounts, in order to discredit them.

    – A group of opposition-aligned militants filmed a video of firing a single grenade in Suweida, Southern Syria, to give the impression that widescale clashes were erupting in the South.

This is a major international and domestic embarrassment for the SAA and for Assad's government but I'm not convinced that it's any kind of military catastrophe. The SAA have yielded too much territory and have had their defensive lines buttered too thin which allowed the terrorists to infiltrate just about everywhere. But no matter, HTS by doing so have also overextended and exposed themselves. They won't last. And the SAA is very much intact. Once the enemy is driven out then Idlib will have to be taken.

Muh generals are incompetent , muh corruption. Yes , i know the major general in Syria was fired. That's an easy target

If anyone is to blame for this it's the SVR. What does the foreign intel agency even do ? Syria should be their area of highest priority. Russian lives are at risk there. They should have their ear to the ground in the whole region. Train up and infiltrate these Turkish and US proxies.

I don't know though. Maybe they are doing all of this. How would we know. But I'm just saying , we don't hear very much from the SVR.

The Syrian state is weak. What exactly can they do ? This can be blamed on Iran and maybe the SVR. This is just Iranian incompetence at its finest once again.

Iran should have been loading up on Russian weapons for the last 5 years. And handing down some of their old stuff to Syria.

You wont hear from SVR dumbass. It isn't their job to inform you.

Just an FYI, but since day 1 these Jihadis were running amok, Russia and Syria was bombing them. Apparently Russian Intel did inform the Syrians that this was gonna happen.

Syria was caught with its pants down or this really was intentional by some people higher up who wanted Assad gone.

It's simple, really. General Kisel was one that wrecked 1st tank army in 2022. after which he was relived of command, and the least they could do was to retire him. Instead they've sent him to Syria. People have to be responsible for their mistakes, this is a simple concept.

SAA is a spent force, aside for couple of units. Due to economical crisis, soldiers barely get any salaries and fighting moral is very low. And yes, corruption and nepotism are what brought Syria to the state it is in now. This is not a secret. Worst thing is that there's no serious intentions in changing the current status quo. There's a very remote chance country will recover all its original territories from pre 2011 period.

There is no incompetence here. The war with Israel dragged too much forces towards Lebanon.

Those guys with AKs and Toyotas were, are and will always be only targets for a military force. Bombs will rain on them just like 10 years ago. They will have to leave.

This is reported to be a force of 15000 men , armed with " western, " weapons of drones and assault rifles . Turkey denies knowledge or involvement , is not credible . Turkey either accepts national boundaries or not . But they sold drones to Ukraine , and I said that this was not a big problem . Not a big problem for Turkey as a whole , But a problem for drone manufacturing company . Turkish state should not face repercussions or sanctions .

But if a state , like Turkey , practices expansionism on several fronts , then this is a far more serious problem . Turkey opens a front against Iran in the Caucasus , against Russia and China in central Asia and China and Ukraine and Syria . All in support of terror religious and extremist gangs .

These movements , are far too many to be blamed on a small political or economic interest group . I think Turkey as a whole should be confronted . It's economic interests damaged . It's national borders damaged , and not by proxy forces , but by national governments , it is messing with . Iran can touch them easily . So can Russia and Syria . They are neighbours . Neighbours from Hell .

Iran , Russia and China should form the modern equivalent of Warsaw pact . Form an international army to confront the western states that are antagonistic . Take joint responsibility to protect BRICS , SCO , silk Road . Where are the Chinese ? Hiding behind the great wall ? Looking to sail in the China Sea ? The battle is bigger than that .

Syria is no longer a profitable place for Russia, which is why China is staying out of it.

The Syrian Army has been fighting since 2011, but despite all these years of war, they don’t receive proper salaries, their living conditions are poor, and the country has been under an unofficial embargo. If the Syrian Army gets tired of fighting, Russia can't do much about it.

If Russia wants to help Syria regain the lost regions, it would need to send more weapons and troops, like it did between 2015 and 2020. But this isn't profitable for Russia anymore.

In 2015, things were easier for Russia because Ukraine wasn’t a big issue at the time.

In 2020, Putin had a chance to take back Idlib but chose to trust Erdoğan instead. This was a mistake, because Erdoğan leads a NATO member country and has to align with the U.S. at some point.

Syria is on the brink of becoming the Middle East's version of Afghanistan, which could cause problems for neighboring countries. It will also create new opportunities for Israel.

Additionally, attacks by HTS have allowed the YPG to expand. In the future, HTS and YPG will likely clash, giving the U.S. more reasons to stay in Syria.

Syria is on the brink of becoming the Middle East's version of Afghanistan, which could cause problems for neighboring countries. It will also create new opportunities for Israel.

It was never a profitable place for Russia, and it never will be

But geopolitics and security does not rest on profitability. Syria is invaluable for ensuring Russia naval and air access to the Eastern Meditteranean and to the Middle East.
And just as importantly, if Syria was to fall to the beardies then all those Uzbeks, Uighurs and others who make up the foot-soldiers of HTS will go to Central Asia and cause no end of problems for Russia. Something like this was the motivation for Russia getting involved in Syria in the first place.

I don't agree that Putin trusts Erdogan.
Relations between Russia and Turkey are based on an exchange of hostages as it was between countries in the Middle Ages. Russia has Turkey's nuclear fuel and gas supplies, Turkey has Russia's S-400s and connecting flights to the outside world. And so on. And this means there is a certain leeway for pissing in the soup cauldron by either side as no-one wants to deal with the grave consequences of breaking relations over some Syria or Kurds or whatever.
In practice only Erdogan is acting in bad faith for now, Russia is not interested in it at the moment as its plenty busy with the US and EU. But in the future Russia could start to supply the Kurds if Erdogan keeps up his shenanigance. For now it's manageable. Russia has other priorities, it's not a question of trust.

Additionally, attacks by HTS have allowed the YPG to expand. In the future, HTS and YPG will likely clash, giving the U.S. more reasons to stay in Syria.

Funny how this is of Turkey's own doing. Erdogan is his own worst enemy.

Many people on this forum continue to give their opinions on the false information that appeared at the beginning of this terrorist offensive.
It came from terrorist propaganda and was repeated by the Western media and even some media that claim to be pro-Russian or anti-Western.
If they had taken the time to look at my last posts, they would have realized that most of the supposed advances of the groups opposed to Assad were a "bluff."
There are about 3 or 4 sources that I used and in principle they echoed the imminent fall of the Syrian government, a possible internal coup, the taking of several cities, etc., etc.
In time, those same accounts discovered their error and went on to show that things were not as catastrophic as they had said.
I repeat: before starting to analyze, it is advisable to see what information is true, so as not to end up looking ridiculous.
Also, there are many people on this forum who spend their time intentionally circulating all this type of propaganda.
