Only wonder if they will continue - a year ago it was announced that the number will be 12 pcs. Which means two more after Bratsk are needed. wrote:

Unless one of the 885M became a Poseidon-carrying unit. Is there a discrepancy here about Ulyanovsk? Either way, 10 such advanced ships are an impressive feat. The US managed only 3 Seawolf Laughing although that was not even an equivalent of the 885M Very Happy

Naah, Poseidon is way too big for this boat.
Honestly I wouldn't been surprised if they would go with morednized Anteys for the job. They have a lot of possibilities, including 667BDRM. Those subs are in their 40s, but all went through planned modernization and mid life repairs, so still have some potential left. This sub must not be top notch, it can release the drones from safe waters.
It is just like with Anteys carrying Zirkons. It does not matter that subs are old and noisier than actual standards - it won't get closer than a few hundred km from the target. Just park one on the bottom between UK and Iceland, and you have half of the north Atlantic covered ...

Khabarovsk is said to be based on the 955 project. Although nothing is known, these are very secret submarine. We will see how it leaves the hall. Perhaps the confusion with 885M is caused by the fact that the second Poseidon carrier after Khabarovsk is named Ulyanovsk Neutral

They should, shipyard is supposed to be overhauled and Yasen production is back on

You don't stop building current model until you know new one is ready to go and that won't be for a while

Plus more and more Sierras, Akulas and Oscars will be getting decommissioned in years ahead, they will need replacements

As for Khabarovsk whatever it is it will be based on SSBN which means it won't be Yasen or any other SS(G)N

    So either Delta or Borei
