Eric Blair, aka George Orwell, wrote 1984 about the UK not the USSR. But he never could have thought that the totalitarian rot would be internal
and not imported through regime change.

Before 9/11 ( Trump may release the files ) and Shock and awe and Afghanistan and Libya and Syria , there was no ISIS or terror attacks in Europe by " Muslims . " I remember distinctly , some Christians in England openly praying and saying before the attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq " May God forgive us ! " ISIS and their descendent ( s ) , namely the extremists now supported by them in Syria , are a direct and indirect product of thousands of tons of bombs dropped by them in the ME , and millions of Dollars funds to support terror .That buys a lot of hatred . It looks like God does not forgive their sins !
