nothing to do with Russian military bases, however.,

Tajikistan has Banned Russian endings in surnames

It seems USAID and NGOs have been working double time to erode Russia's remaining influence in the post soviet space, there was another article several years ago where Kazakhstan reportedly planned to switch their alphabet from Cyrilic to English. I wish Russia can reverse this obvious sabotage and impose more Russufication + Christianization of the former soviet union territories

This is dangerous, this is brainwashing the population, this is preparing for a revolution, Russia cannot just sit by and do nothing, Russia needs to double it efforts and put more Russian NGO's and agents, into the former Soviet countries.

No Western NGO can do that damage. This is just normal Patho-Nationalism in irrelevant spot. Dude's a dictator, so really, not the kind of shit you wouldn't expect from Rahmon.

    x100

NGO's do not make such obvious moves as it will put them in the spotlights. This was all thanks to that dictator they got. Not surprising really. And no, this isn't happening in Kazakhstan. Tajikistan is a hellhole all on its own.

Unfortunately, Russia has to work with them in order to prevent terrorism from spreading to Russia.

There is no such thing as English alphabet, it is Latin.

What a stupid thing. I always were astounded by Tajiks. Some of them look like white russians but they still are mongoloids in their heads (no offence to Mongolians) Some of their traditions makes Borat look good. Unibrow is also popular there.

What was the response to this? Don't tell me Russia took that lightly?

    Also, why?

Why would there be a response?
Did it hurt Russian state or economic interests somehow?

It's their country, they can do whatever they want.

Russia's not in a position to judge; since 1991 we've phased out quite a bit of what we inherited from the Soviet Union, other former republics more, and Tajikistan has banned Russian endings for Tajik names - boo hoo.

BTW Russian is still taught in Tajikistan and no-one's trying to get rid of it there.
