Southestern Homs vs. IS

IS seems to have put all their effort in and around Sukhnah and Uqaribat, but neglected other areas. Now it's way too late for them to plug the holes. The open fronts they face are way too many for them to logistically sustain. It seems the key in eliminating IS is logistics after all.

From the advances that the SAA is making does this look to anyone else that the strategy seems to be to move forward on a broad front towards Deir rather than a single concentrated strike?

That is to make ISIS push its logistic capabilities to its limits defending all over the place rather than allowing them to play to their strength of pre-planned defensive positions with pre-positioned SVIEDs etc.

This is just a standard update today from Fort-Russ. I just love their use of different English words to say 'lots of' when the number is not known.

A large number of ISIS vehicles, positions, and hideouts were destroyed in the airstrikes, and scores of terrorists were killed.

In the countryside of Damascus province, the Syrian Air Force destroyed several ISIS fortifications and hideouts in Juroud Al Qalamoun, killing plenty of the terrorists.

The liberation of the town came after fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists, during which, dozens of the terrorists were killed.
