Nothing new in the table.
It just lists all the ships (above 2000 T) and submarines under various stages of construction.

It is just a nice summary.

There is no concrete contract for that many 20385s yet AFAIK.

i think that article has some mistakes. Project 22160 corvettes are for Border Guard. I have never read that they will replace Steregushchii-class corvettes.
Buyan and Buyan-M corvettes are only for Capsian Flotilla also.

First I heard of that too. It's long range and high endurance make it enticing but at the same time it is more lightly armed than the Steregushyjs/Gremyashyjs - so all in all it's ideal for its duties as a patrol vessel with the FSB border guard, but not as a line fighting corvette so to speak.
Of course, in times of conflict, these assets can be used in co-ordination with the fleet too.

Buyan and Buyan-M corvettes are only for Capsian Flotilla also.

The article makes the mistake of grouping the Buyan and Buyan-M together.
In reality while it's basically the same vessel, the two versions are in different classes.

The Buyan is a gunboat with a shore-bombardment focus (owing to its Grad-M MLRS). It's also cheaper than the Buyan-M and has less sophisticated weapons; having nothing that would be considered strategic by any adversary or that would arouse alarm.
For now only 3 for the Caspian flotilla have been acquired; but I would not be at all surprised to see more acquired in support of Russian marines & amphibious assets in the Black Sea and Pacific, to be based in those fleets.

The Buyan-M can be considered as something like a successor to the missile-boats of the Soviet era; only with a ground-attack capability too. Something like a mini-corvette I guess. Instead of a Grad-M MLRS it houses UKSK VLS cells, designated for the carrying of Kalibr cruise and anti-ship missiles; which can even be armed with nuclear warheads and most certainly will be taken seriously by any neighbour. It's AA/CIWS suite is also superior to that of the Buyan's, it has a larger crew and overall it is a more valuable vessel.
For a number of related reasons, they likely will only be acquired for the Caspian flottila; but in actuality they would be designated for the Black Sea zone of operation too; given that canals can be used to rapidly transport especially such small vessels from the Caspian to the Black Sea if the neccessity arises.

The Byan-M is almost twice the displacement of the Byan.

Do we have Coast Guard tread?

1. The first 3 to Kaspian (done) and last 6 to Black Sea.
2. I have read 6 ordered and another 6 22160 will be.
3. Believe we are using the Intelligence or Security Service tread in the Russia category for Coast Guard and Border Service.

Can someone recapitulate the number of ships being built now for the navy ? The number and where they are ? they seem to have a lot of ship started. In the next decade Russian navy will x2 its sized if they achieve to build them. No ?

Thing is that many ships are old and in bad shape, and they will have to be decomissioned, biggest issue are capital ships, which Russia at least short term cant replace. Losing capital ships means no blue water fleet. Russia atm basically is building frigats, corvets and auxilary fleet ships.

Current Perspectives of "Yantar" plant

General Director of JSC "Shipyard" Yantar "Eduard Efimov told reporters the most western region of Russia on the day of the present and prospects of development of the Kaliningrad shipyard.

When communicating with journalists Eduard Efimov touched on a wide range of issues, in particular, he spoke of the so-called frigates admiral series.

While they wait for engines smartest thing to do would be to design entirely new model and finally put the whole Steregushi corvette fiasco to bed.

The news is about the Grigorovich frigates. Not the Steregushy corvettes.

Yantar (Kaliningrad) makes the frigates, not the corvettes.

Steregushy corvette program is ongoing. The propulsion problem is resolved (look at medo's post above this one).

As for frigates, those ships go trough several turbines over the course of their service so it would make sense to start modifying last three ships now to receive Russian engines since they will all need replacements at some point?

There is and always was a good solution to fulfill the corvette numbers and and I always mentions it and once more saying.....Pr.11661 Gepard class is the way to go. I personally like that design coz its a very practical one.

Vietnam's next two Gepard 3.9 is getting ready and I feel not ordering 11661 for the Russian navy might bring us to the same situation as what happened with the pr.11356..... its after so many years that Russia realized that not continuing the 11356 production after the completion of the first three units for Indian Navy was a big mistake. And when they indeed started it, the time was just too late with only half the capacity likely to be fulfilled. I know the financial situations and politics that have likely played in the decision making process...not venturing into it coz then we will have to talk a lot including the utter lack of vision and strategy for promotion (Venezuela, Libya) during the period which could have negated the lack of initial startup capital for restarting/continuing the production.  

My plan/wishlist for 11661 has been on the version with a hanger incorporated... with the new canistered BuK-M3 AD system, the possibility of even smaller tonnage ships getting (as a carrier) a good medium-long range AD missile looks promising.

Tartarstan already have those Kaliber tubes and was put to good use against international terrorists in Syria, so the next series of 11661 only need to take it from there.

Specs that I would like to see for Gepard 3.9 are
8 x Kaliber/Yakhont/Klub
12 - 24 x canistered AD missiles replacing 8 x 3M24
2-4 x podded Zhuk-A based radar/illuminator for AD missiles
2 x Palma

Such a modernized/optimized 11661 would be a good multipurpose corvette and will do good to enhance Russian Navy's 'soldiers' on the ocean. I would like to see a proliferation of these powerful units in the Black Sea, Mediterranean (Tartous, Latakia) and Baltic which will free up the Frigates and Destroyers and supplement them in firepower when needed.
