Before the collapse of the Syrian government and subsequent dissolution of Syrian state , perhaps on a long term or permanent basis , my thinking was directed by securing the sovereignty and borders of Syria . Also viewing any centrifugal ethnic separatist movements as a retrograde step . This view stood in opposition to Kurdish separatism , presence of illegal foreign forces in Syria , anti-democratic extremist forces .

However now , it is clear that Syria is no more . This colonial project and colonial borders , and an obscure name borrowed from history could not find a national identity or cohesion . There is now , several ethnic areas and mini -states . Each with distinct culture and political orientation and allies in the region .

The Christians and Alawite minorities , perhaps among the only populations , without an identified and distinct region . This situation is brought about by NATO , Turkey and Israel and some Arab states . Iran and Russia can not bring about the unity in Syria . The intervention in Syria by military means , was not adequate to protect Syrian territorial integrity or more importantly prosperity . China was absent .

The reality of the present situation for Iran , is to recognise the dissolution of Syria , by recognising first the Kurdish state . And second to help establish , together with Russian help , a homeland for Alawites and Christians along the coast . Iran could offer Kurds , security and guarantee it , if they expel Americans .

Since Turkey's role is very colourful in driving separatism and Turkish expansionism and extremism , then Iran should double efforts to expel Turks and Israelis from the Caucasus . By any means possible . Iran should cooperate with Russia and China to oppose this proxy NATO Turkish expansionist force , to oppose and expel Turks from central Asia and China . An international NATO terror brigade .
