Same problem here . With this avatar . Photo bucket . If it is a hack then I suggest members change passwords . And mods change router passwords . I don't know how to change router password . Also mods should invite all trusted members to secret obscure website . To discuss in private any important matters . Then come back here with solutions .

back to the secret bat cave .

George and Russian Patriot and I only have the power to edit or delete messages or move them around.

Only Vlad can fix, so the next time he is on hopefully he will get a few PMs to ask that he takes action.

In the mean time is is not that big a deal... any text hidden by these images can be read simply by selecting the text using your mouse, which will highlight it and make it readable.

I doubt this is Russian hackers... more likely the website that stores image components has changed something and the links no longer work. Fixing the link is the only solution but as I say George and I don't have that level of access.

If you are really upset you could ask for your money back... Razz

Can mods please do something about off-topic crap like this that gets posted?

    https://www.russiadefence.net/t6368p275-russian-space-program-news-discussion-2#199359

Two pages of local political crap, several idiotic videos and not one word that has anything to do with space program.

Would it be possible for mods to leave more of a trail of their actions?
Fairly often chunks of threads/entire threads get moved or for all I know deleted without any visible notice of what happened.

Not saying they're wrong moves, just that without knowing where they went or why its hard to keep track or modify behaviour if doing something problematic.
There are a lot of possible sub-sections where stuff could be moved to, hard to find if its been moved without a note.

Just would like to see a little note like 'moved a bunch of posts to x thread' (with link) or 'deleted OT bollocks' etc.
I know some forum software has option to add those automatically, may not be possible with this software & I understand that can be a PITA to do manually.

With this forum software you open the full thread in one continuous page and have to scroll down and select each post individually to separate and then create a thread to temp dump them.

As you can probably imagine threads with a lot of multimedia were a nightmare and took so long to load as you scroll it normally times out, but now I have faster than dialup it is OK.

I try to leave a note to mention clean ups and where moved posts have been sent.

Will post request to other mods to ask they do the same.

Have you ever been able to host pictures? Upload them to an image hosting site and use the url.

It asked me for my password too... just click on the "forgot password" link and it will ask for your email address and send you a new password and a link to change it to that new password.
Check your email and it will have a link to change your password and the new password it changes it to, so click the change password link and then copy the new password from your email and then return to the russia defence page and enter that new password which should work to gain access to the media hosting service.

    Your Attention pls!

Vlad created a sub-section for Iraq under my proposal, here in Middle Eastern Militaries section:

    https://www.russiadefence.net/f63-iraq

Τhere you can find topics for Iraqi Army, foreign relations with Russia and China, and for internal situation of the country. I considered this necessary since Iraq topics have a lot of news and ongoing developmnts like Syria's

For the war against ISIS militants we keep the topic: IRAQ - Fight on Islamic State: News #2

and for Iraq-Russia military contracts: Iraq turns its eye on Russia
