No Garry this was May 2020

Russia has tested a new hypersonic missile designed to arm its modified Tu-22M3M strategic bomber aircraft.

"Recently, a new hypersonic missile was tested on the Tu-22M3. The missile will be part of the armament range of the upgraded Tu-22M3M along with a number of other latest aviation weapons," a source was quoted as saying by TASS on Monday.

I think Kh-50 was tested earlier but not publicized...

Russia is bad at naming shit. Google search izdeliye 75 you get a result of a mig-21 even though that name is for the GZUR. Dino00 is saying product 70 gives him tu-160, i put izdeliye 70 and i got a hermes missile. In otherwords this GZUR had nothing to do with the previous GZUR version because the Russian military is disorganized in giving product numbers. I sort of wish this is the in the future mach 10-12 borisov reffered to in Dino00 May 2020 source stating borisovs maks 2013 statement.

Product 70 is the ramjet/ scramjet family developed for hypersonic cruise missiles, this product will be used in the SU-57 and Tu-22M3M, the rest of the missile should be different, they probably had to make changes because the diameter of the missile for the Su-57 is smaller.

This product could be used or not for the hypersonic cruise missiles for the TU-160M2 or PAK-DA... that's what I think.

In related news , hopefully Russia will not accept the next strategic arsenal scam deal ,
that is now being pushed by the Biden administration .  Already the hints being throw
of what they will demanding Russia in a new treaty. that russia reduce by 1/3 their strategic and hypersonic missiles. No

US, Russia Could Reduce Strategic Arsenals by 1/3 in Future Deal, Ex-Official Believes

This is outrageous stupid if putin ever sign anything like this , with those hypersonic missiles , is the only deterrence russia military have to guarantee a quick and fast wipe of all US and NATO navies
if produced them in big numbers and russia do a first strike surprise mass attack. 1 hypersonic missile is all that russia need to deter aircraft carrier in a conventional strike and if armed with a small nuke , 1 missile can wipeout /disable an entire battlefleet formation of hundreds of warships.

The only way Russia should agree to such an horrible deal ,is that US remove 100% of all sanctions on Russia and any other of its allies too ,including china ,and all American bases removed from all parts of the world , and return home , and NATO disbanded , a new law to make it illegal for US military navy to be in any part of europe ,not even for exercises allowed there and never ever get close to russian territory ,and navy and military only used to defend main land.
Also UK and israel and any other hostile nation to russia  will have to be denuclearized too and no military bases or bombs ,planes or tanks or warships allowed in any part of europe.

Actually the izdeliye 70 seems to be the LMUR missile which seems to be an ATAKA like missile with a datalink and IIR guidance, so yes, this is very confusing...

    https://edition.cnn.com/2021/04/06/politics/air-force-hypersonic-missile-test/index.html

(CNN)The US Air Force's new hypersonic missile program suffered a blow Monday after it failed to launch from a B-52H Stratofortress bomber aircraft flying from Edwards Air Force Base in California.

"B-52H Stratofortress took off Monday over the Point Mugu Sea Range intending to fire the first booster test vehicle for the AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) program. Instead, the test missile was not able to complete its launch sequence and was safely retained on the aircraft which returned to Edwards AFB," the Air Force said in a statement.
The test failure is a setback to the US, which is engaged in a race with China and Russia to develop hypersonic weapons at a time of increased global tensions. The missiles are designed to travel at a such a high speed that they can fly great distances and move quickly through heavily defended airspace to attack targets such as harbors, airfields and other installations before they can be successfully shot down.

"The ARRW program has been pushing boundaries since its inception and taking calculated risks to move this important capability forward. While not launching was disappointing, the recent test provided invaluable information to learn from and continue ahead. This is why we test," said Brig. Gen. Heath Collins, the armament directorate program's executive officer. The weapon is aimed at providing US commanders around the world with "the capability to destroy high-value, time-sensitive targets," according to an Air Force statement.

The new missile is called an AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) and it is expected to be ready for deployment in the next few years. The test was specifically aimed at demonstrating the ability of the ARRW to achieve hypersonic speed.

The Pentagon is aiming to eventually develop a hypersonic missile that can travel at 20 times the speed of sound in a real world military strike, defense officials say, not far off the speed that Space Shuttles traveled when reentering the Earth's atmosphere. So far, there have been some components tested at speeds near that.

We have had a separate thread for US hypersonics for a while and the results of this test are already posted there.

"MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. The Rostec Joint Engine Corporation has tested a demonstration of a pulsating detonation engine for prospective hypersonic aircraft and orbital aircraft. This was reported to journalists in the press service of the state corporation Rostec.

"The first stage of testing of the pulsating detonation engine demonstrateer has been successfully completed. The demonstrator gave the required indicators. On some modes of operation, the specific thrust of up to 50% exceeded the performance of traditional power plants. In the future, this will allow to increase the maximum range and weight of the payload of aircraft by 1.3-1.5 times," Rostec said in the aviation cluster.

The pulsating detonation engine was developed in the Design Bureau by A. Lulki (a branch of ODK-UMPO). It implements a more economical, unlike used in existing gas turbine engines, thermodynamic cycle. Equipped with such an engine aircraft will have better flight dynamics and maneuverability.

The model of the pulsating detonation engine was presented for the first time at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2017".

Is that 2017 a typo in the TASS article or is the article from 2017? For some stupid reason TASS does not include the year in their article
date stamps. Not enough bytes in their storage system? Morons.
