So does the US get to install their puppet president in Bolivia? This is a crushing defeat for Russia and China. There is no other choice but to overthrow the US puppet regime in Colombia and install a leadership that is sympathetic to Russian and Chinese interests. A retaliation against the US needs to be in order.

Well, there is heavy anti government protests in Chile right now, and Honduras. Better back those guys.

Under Morales, the Bolivians had a lot of good things, Morales was a native and took good care of his people.

The "super easy protests" were no easy protests, they had backing of CIA and the US.

The Zionists sanctioned Bolivia because Morales nationaled the Oil and other resources and the contracts for oil and other resources went to Russian and Chinese companies.

The military sold out the country, the people who are responsible for this, will get nice money packages and nice houses in Florida and California, while Bolivians will pay the price.

After being kicked out of the Middle East, the US bastards have turned to Latin America.

The best Russia and China can do is just wait, the austerity measures will take a toll on the people, like we have seen in other countries.

    Who cares?

Right wing isn't advertising itself as as a solution to problems of capitalism

It's commies who always promise utopia and then turn everything into toilet bowl the moment they claw their way to power

Maybe if they were to actually deliver on what they promise just once they could actually be considered useful alternative?

But they never do and never have, it's always complete failure with them

Morales in Bolivia delivered a lot for his people, life under Morales for majority of Bolivian was good, the problem with that, is that the minority rich 1% did not like it because their profits were low.

The Yanks are not into nation building. They are into nation destroying. What happened in Afghanistan or Iraq or Libya? Did they have a plan? Oh yes, build  a Fort  and put military base there.  And be Lord and master. Like destroying Red Indians. But China and Russia build road. Pipeline. Make bank. And they support  democracy and national government and local industry. Or they better do. Offer the world a better deal than Americans. They will then win. The time for colonial culture is gone. People all want the same things. Security, welfare and freedom and high standard of living. They do not want to be slaves on a plantation run by white American masters anymore. Their power now diminishing. Step out of the Fort, and the natives eat you alive. Small world living in Forts.

The problem is that any native that shows cunning or brains, and gets popular support gets murdered by drone or more directly by the CIA.

The European colonial powers murdered lots of people the west would call democrats but the western media calls them communist because they want free healthcare and free education and better working conditions for people not above middle management level...

The US is very good at destroying countries, and has a long history of doing so.

PD has been broken by them and is now one of their puppets... don't fight... it will be easier and cleaner if you just do as you are told... you can have no future for yourself or your children, your purpose is to praise me and subsidise my lifestyle and situation...

    Really just sad.

But better communication and information will eventually destroy the wests imperial programme... already China and Russia are offering an alternative... India seems a little on the fence, but when they realise the west offers opportunity but also a serious glass ceiling that is much lower than any Indian would accept, then they will likely turn away from the west too... the west is giving them no choice because they don't share power and wealth... ask Africa and central and south america... you don't pay the natives what you would pay a white man for a product or a service...

The collapse of the west is only going to be accelerated by its outrageous excesses like this... eventually their interference in elections around the world will return and bite them on the ass... and they wont like it...

Other countries are watching and listening and thinking about their options... 20 years ago there were no options... but now options are being created by Americas actions... people talk about Russia and China, but the US is likely to add the EU to their rivals with their behaviour... not that I think they would be any better than the US, but options are options.

Ah, the true strength of communist principles, stand up for what you believe in no matter what adversity faces you.

Ah fuck off... if he really was a communist... ie Stalin... he never would have stepped down... all his political opponents would already be dead and their families trying to escape the country as fast as they could.

The reality is that he was ELECTED... which makes him a socialist... I am surprised you don't understand the difference.

Too much kool aide I guess.

News flash: nobody here was fighting for communism, were were stuck fighting both against foreign enemies and communist gang that took control of the country and was running it into the ground, you can't win war in two fronts.

Can't win a war on two fronts? Bullshit. Of course you can. The Soviets fought the Finns, the Nazis, and their allies, and the Japanese... the Americans fought in the Pacific and in Africa and the European theatre too.

And nobody here forgot 50 years of genocide implemented by commies who were installed by foreigners at the end of WW2

What has communism got to do with this... this leader was elected by the population... I realise the kool aide changes the meaning of words, but please try to concentrate...

Oh yeah, everyone is lining up for that sweet alternative

All the contracts in Africa and around the world that China and Russia are winning suggests the people who make the decisions have noticed the difference between western contracts for the last 300 years and dealing with these relative newcomers.

Ruskies better stick with looking after themselves lest they end up as another outfit that was offering alternatives (although in Soviet case it was alternative to having proper nutrition, everyone was going bananas over that)

    Such dietary experts those Soviets...

Yeah, I doubt the west would even accept that... they see Russia... an independent Russia that is... as a threat... there is nothing Russia could do except expose their bare ass for some lovin from the west that would stop the western steamroller... tell me... how does it feel?

Bolivian defense minister also resigned amid protests

Sorry to say that Bolivia is going to be the next Ukraine... the west will celebrate democracy in the region and the people will get screwed like the average Ukrainian was... and when it becomes a shithole again it will be all the fault of the previous government and the only solution is to sell off government assets and resources to the highest foreign bidder and the people of Bolivia will be screwed of anything of value in the country.

    it will be communisms fault.

The real hilarious thing is that there is a stalin out there that does not rule over a democracy... who rules with an iron fist and has no problems killing off his political opponents but the west wont say a word against him because he is the leader of Saudi Arabia.

They have lots of gas, not oil, tin & lithium: A major blow to the Bolivian economy came with a drastic fall in the price of tin during the early 1980s, which impacted one of Bolivia's main sources of income and one of its major mining industries.
Bolivia has the second largest natural gas reserves in South America. ..
The US Geological Service estimates that Bolivia has 5.4 million cubic tonnes of lithium, which represent 50%–70% of world reserves.

It's not a clear cut, so time will tell:

Hahahahahahaha... that is it... it has nothing to do with saving the Bolivian people from communism, or anything to do with the leader or the people... earlier this year it was announced that Bolivia was going to start creating industries to use the lithium on its territory and make batteries and other high tech stuff instead of exporting raw lithium to big powerful western companies in big power western countries so that Bolivia earns more money from the resources of Bolivia rather than just earning peanuts from the raw product.

So much for western morality and principles... they are learning from Venezuela though... don't just find an alternative and impose sanctions to try to topple the elected leadership... burn down the houses of the leaders family and friends and make threats to kill him and anyone who gets in their way and what would you do papadragon... you family are getting murdered... you think he is a coward for giving up power, but what real choice did he have with no support from the military.

Clearly Chavez and Maduro were smarter and made sure they had the support of the military as well as the people... this guy only has the support of the people, so there is going to have to be a massive purge by the coup supporters otherwise everything they have undone can be corrected at the next election... so obviously they are going to have to completely undermine democracy to make sure that does not happen.

But PD will celebrate because despite looting and the average Bolivian now living in fear, the western battery companies will continue to get their cheap lithium supplies that they can turn into expensive batteries that get used for 3-4 years and then discarded like rubbish... and that is what makes the world go round... very very rich companies getting richer at the expense of the people living in the countries they take resources from...

Yes Garry I know that.  My point is how can a country develop a defensive strategy to detect and locate undercover CIA agents and prevent them from carrying out these subversive missions?  I mean there has to be a defense against it.  Why haven't more countries studied what the CIA does to overthrow governments and to develop a defense against it?

Does Russia have capable counterintelligence capabilities to counter it?   Is it because these countries are poor and have limited resources and capabilities?

We talk a lot about army, naval and air force weapons and strategies and how to deploy and defend against them but there is basically no discussion about intelligence and counterintelligence capabilities on this forum, which are very important capabilities to have for any nation.

It is sickening reading about the CIA carrying out these missions in all these countries and they basically get away without any opposition.

You are not seeing the whole picture... even if a central or south american country could eliminate the CIA... they would get called all the nasty names under the sun and sanctions will be imposed and then the current leader of the US will declare that country in need of US direct assistance via the USMC.

There has to be an economic alternative to the US or Europe... the Monroe doctrine in theory was supposed to protect C and S America from the colonial powers of europe, but in effect it isolated them to the colonial power of the US instead... which at best is no better and at worst much worse.

Russia and China and hopefully India and South Africa and Brazil are starting a movement that might create a more fair colonial power... an economic power a country could turn to to allow growth and development without having to let in the multinationals to kill the people and steal the resources... you know... what the west has been claiming it was trying to do all these years yet for some strange reason failing... of course it was those silly third world countries and their stupid ideas and not adopting proper western values and culture... that is why they are so poor.... not because it was all a crock of shit and really what the west was doing was replacing a domestic slave labour force that worked for minimum wage and had no workers right by not hiring western people, but poor people in third world countries.

Their problem is that this has changed western countries from industrialisation and production, to banking and services... but with no production and industry at home they don't have customers who can afford their services so it is all collapsing in on itself.

Previously history and news was written by the west and they made themselves the good guy, but with the internet anyone can tell their side, so you hear from people in Iran and they are not baby eating monsters that we can't relate to... they are just normal people trying to live a normal life and they keep getting screwed by people we voted in to power.

Does Russia have capable counterintelligence capabilities to counter it? Is it because these countries are poor and have limited resources and capabilities?

Russia doens't have to actively counter them... they just need to stay separate and not join up with the west before it destroys itself.... China also needs to avoid the tentacles of western corruption and remain a separate entity that these small countries can deal with... even if the US has a shitty fit and bans all commerce with Bolivia or whatever country China and Russia and India and Brazil and South Africa between them should be able to provide all the needs and supply enough customers to that country to get away with not needing to trade with anyone else.

Hopefully BRICS becomes an organisation that does not impose sanctions except in response to sanctions, that does not block trade to any country no matter what but does not cooperate with any country that does impose sanctions on other countries.

That means if the US and EU want to trade with BRICS they need to drop all their sanctions against everyone.

Russia and China are happy to trade with the US and EU but not if those countries are going to put sanctions on other countries and even use sanctions against friendly countries to force them to not trade with some countries.

The US and the west dominate international trade and international organisations with significant power and they are using them to give themselves an economic and political advantage... it has to stop or alternatives they can't abuse will be created and their power will be bypassed... and they will diminish.

It is sickening reading about the CIA carrying out these missions in all these countries and they basically get away without any opposition.

One of the lecturers I had at university was in the CIA... quite high up in fact, and from the stories he told... it was quite sickening.

When a US company was going somewhere in central and south america they would approach them to do some spying... you know... be a patriot... you are helping your country all that shit (his words not mine). If they got caught they left them high and dry... usually their company had to make a few payments locally to get them out of trouble.

I remember reading a book by a guy from Russia and he talked about what a shock the 1990s were... he said he dealt with lots of hardline communists in his time during the cold war, but he said... at least they had rules they had to follow... the criminals had no such limitations and could do anything and were much more frightening... ironic isn't it... today such criminals are called entrepreneurs and are respected in the west... as opposed to the KGB and FSB who are considered the bad guys in the same ironic way the CIA are considered the good guys... I blame Disney teaching everyone that the underdog is the good guy and should always win... so we get all powerful always on top bunny rabbits and tweety birds, and the hunters and cats always lose... so removed from reality it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

The CIA doesn't always win and more and more often their criminal activities are exposed, but then they are not alone... French special forces murder people all round the world... German and British special forces start civil wars... many Americans claim the 20th century was the American century... well the 21st C is for the rest of us with China and Russia breaking that western monopoly they have so abused and corrupted... and it was only so a 1% minority within the western world can get super rich... the rest is not doing that well...
