This topic was the nearest I could find for this subject, no idea if these are fatalities but given the quantity it could be wider than that. Peacetime is pretty dangerous. Wonder what 2016/17 show.

Insurance company contracted by the Russian defense ministry accidentally publishes several years' worth of casualty figures:
    630 in 2012,
    596 in 2013,
    790 in 2014,
    626 in 2015

Let the ignorant, contextless prattle begin!

    Some relevant questions:

    1) How many died due to medical issues? For example athletes die from enlarged heart syndrome.

    2) How many are due to workplace accidents and let's see some real comparative data instead of implicit claims that zero US soldiers die each year
    from accidents.

    3) What do these "casualties" represent: are they all deaths or both death and injury. If the latter than the shock value quickly
wears off since the deaths would be under 10% of the total.

Casualty suggests injury rather than death.... there could be 50 casualties with people from the far south that are based in the far north and listen to their fellow soldiers when they suggest you lick that metal pole outside for fun....

They can say whatever they want. It was an old storehouse that was leased out to another company. What's going to hurt krasmash will be if they have to pay the insurance premium since it was their building and the refrigerator company just lost a warehouse full of new fridges.

i was the first one to expose Russia to have the quality controls at the level of third world nations.
And i was not trolling.. Now Russia government investigation of the Aeroflot plane accident confirm this.

    https://www.rt.com/russia/460563-russian-aviation-problems-superjet-chaika/

550 commercial pilots suspended amid ‘serious problems’ in Russian aviation – Prosecutor General

So..How in hell the Russian Government be so outdated in safety ,supervision and quality controls?????
It takes a lot of negative skills in mediocre supervision to do this.. I began to notice this ,after seeing so
many accidents in Russian military bases.. Russia is the only country in the world.. that is not safe even
to sleep in your barracks for the army..in time of peace ,inside your country. some time ago more than 100 soldiers were killed because the floor collapsed.. because the contractor who build the barrack ..did not followed any security controls or safety in constructions .. they simply changed the original design and there was no one in the Putin's government that could Supervise the construction company.. Because the government of Russia is very popular for mediocre leadership ,that either don't enforce the security laws , or don't have correct laws for avoidance of accidents..

Russia is the only country in the world.. were real State multi floor  apartments unfinished.. can be sold to people
and clients allowed to finish them on their own ,with their own money ,without any knowledge in civil engineering or construction.. What can go wrong? Rolling Eyes

Its crazy how in videos people publish on youtube.. people modify the walls inside their apartments , remove or build new windows at will.. what can go wrong if everyone in a 50 floors apartment building ,start to remove walls and build new windows ,, without any safety concern for the entire building to collapse?

Russia is the only country in the developed world ,that shopping malls ,can operate for years.. without any security
check from any fire control agency.  not a problem   Shocked No

Just a year ago or so.. many dozens of children where left in a theater with emergency doors that should never ever be closed.. were closed that day.. Shocked and fire alarms that don't worked.. and mall security staff ,left to die a hundred of children alone in a theater.. . Shocked  only in a third world nation and in Russia is possible...

Now what we have? the biggest scandal in Russia civilian aviation history unloading. that threatens to bring
down Russia entire commercial flight industry.. An issue of Abysmal safety regulations
in the aviation industry.. pilots without finished training allowed to fly  Laughing   Why none of this is surprising for me?

This things don't happen by coincidence.. This is the entire Russia system ,is completely BROKEN ,MEDIOCRE
and Outdated..  and PUTIN and the people he put in key positions of the government is to blame for this..
Im sorry but Russia don't deserve at all to exist as a nation.. It needs to be conquered ,invaded and civilized
and that imbecile mediocre and extremely incompetent President , forced to step down..

Because is becoming incredibly repetitive this reports in Russia ,that the government ,don't Enforce
at all , safety regulations ,quality controls in the nations in any place..

just the days ago.. Saw another perfect example of how mediocre is Russia government in security/safety controls
/Quality regulations.. In one youtube channel recently ,last week..There was a guy ,who got a drone legally from a Russian business.. and he was flying freely a drone in cities.. ANYWHERE!!!!! not in a fishing village in the artic.. no..it was St Petersburg  city tourist zones . and people from the west commented.. "it is legal in Russia to fly drones anywhere" and they just read my mind.. of how dangerous this was..  Because a drone can be used
by the organized crime or by terrorist for many criminal things , spy on people ,on their high raise apartments.. or could be even used to spy on police  to steal a zone ,when police not near.. or for kidnaping a civilian or drones could be used for rapist to to chase and rape a Girl.. it also could be used for terrorism..
attach explosives and by control remote target a touristical place. You can't fly drones anywhere in US Cities.. is illegal..  but in Covongo ubongo Russia you can.. because the Idiot government ,and retarded President he don't give a shit about safety regulation and security.. He can quickly write a list in seconds of condolence for death people everytime a terrorist attack happen or a fire accident consequence of poor safety controls..and problem solved..  lol1

Now is the entire  Russia aviation industry.. that is in geopardy with a massive scandal of pilots allowed to fly without proper trainning in Russia civilian aviation industry . simply no words.. how much incompetence Russia show , in safety accident regulations and quality controls too..   Neutral

Im convinced the entire system is broken.. and Putin in part ,responsible for this.. This is because  when you have
a incompetent leadership on the top.. it will hire many incompetent managers and supervisors under it.. so it promotes incompetence below it. WHen you have good efficient leadership..they can recruit.. real competent people to do any Job demanded.. this is important in supervision on nation security and quality controls and safety standards to be followed.. always..

Heard on radio while in Cyprus.
Minimal damage, no dead, some people with minor injuries. Human error caused this. People getting back to their homes.
It's not Chernobyl v2 like western media were screamingly announcing. Fires in military depots happen everywhere, but only gets reported if it's Russia

I suspect it is Ukr type sloth that was the cause of this. Similar culture and mentality. Something that cannot be changed in a few
years. I guess they were lucky in this case.

Rumors there were 40 000 shells of 125mm and 152mm, atgm, air defence missiles inside. The first shell to explode was a 152mm that exploded and injured 2 guys.

There were also report of black rain and people being evacuated.

Subtle message from God: "Putin, you are screwing it up."

If the stuff Putin reportedly told recently that Stone guy from the U.S. is true.

Lots of hate and venom for Slavs from Poland, and that strange love for the Varangian invaders from Ukraine.

alright GarryB... show me any explosions in any American military base this year?
Show me how many munitions depot in United States exploded in 2019 ?

In Russia this is becoming a normal thing... No

And the problem is again Putin..
if you have an Incompetent person on the top.. he will attract incompetent people
like him ,in top Positions.  Incompetent people can't identify competent one .. Because he can't see the things he don't have  .. This is also a leadership problem... Leaders most
important job is not to give orders at all.. do this or do that.. is not micromanagement..
Most important is to get things done ,in an efficient way ,and without having to directly
intervene..  Putin needs to micromanage all.. this shows he is an incompetent as a leader..
Because don't recruit the correct people to do their jobs .

Putin is not a leader in any way shape or form.. he is only a trouble solver. a technician.
A technician is someone you send to any place to fix a problem.. technicians like Putin is,
they are re-actionary.. they only operate when a problems shows...

When a problem shows in Syria ,after trying to avoid it ,he later send his military
to try to solve it.. When a problem shows in Ukraine ,the same. A True leader will have
predicted that Syria was going to be next after IRAQ.. and will have predicted Ukraine color revolution and will have avoided the war.. by understanding how to correctly influence
Ukrainians away of Americans influence.. and not with Gas discounts as Putin did. Rolling Eyes

Leaders in the other their real job is to INFLUENCE.. they are directors .
A leader PREVENT problems from happening.. He can see far ahead ,of how things
will develop if things continue the same way..  and he can prevent problems By recruiting  the correct people for the correct job. in the correct place. people with leadership qualities too..influencers.. this allows things to flow naturally , supervised correctly without much interference from the President..

Leader can also inspire everyone to always be the best in their jobs..  Putin is not a leader.
By Speaking softly ,looking downward , with extreme politeness ,he will NEVER inspire anyone to take him seriously. He is terrible for avoiding problems. as a President.. Probably he will do better as a KGB agent.. if the job requires to be completely ignored ,under the radar.. but a true Leader is someone that do much more than unity , he needs to inspire people to be better and more skilled every day.. and more importantly.. A true leader ,should understand very well Russia limitations and his enemies Abilities and weakness..  Putin don't understand at all his enemies ,neither how to counter the American system.
By hosting Olympics and winning many medals or winning agriculture records ,he is not going to convince the west to end their Cold War /semi Hot against Russia. So with Putin
in Power , the possibilities of a nuclear war are real.. they see Putin a weak president and will continue provoking Russia , bombing their base , taking down their planes and it will be
a matter of time ,they target a warship ..or a diplomatic plane . Putin strategy to counter the west is completely wrong.

None of our military depots have exploded this year to answer that question.

I can understand a few accidents here and there but these happen to Russia a lot, at that point, it is clear human error and incompetence which should not be happening.

Russia isn't a Banana republic so, I expect better than this from a Professional force.

Yeah like Trump attracts Bolton, Pompeo et al.

Putin has transformed Russia from a country largely ignored by the west to a country feared by the west... how can that be incompetence?

    BTW, from 2018:

    https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2018/05/06/as-fatal-aviation-crashes-reach-6-year-high-pentagon-says-this-is-not-a-crisis/

And what makes you think the US media would even report a fire at a US base?

The US military would say it was a national security issue and anyone that posts information is a Russian agent...

Besides they don't need fires... their suicide rate is high enough to not need them as a problem...

It happens in Russia often because mostly of insecure storage, storage under open sky and ageing munitions.
There's not much Putin can do except maybe increase military budget, but there's more pressing matters now.
There's not enough money for safety control, but it's not as bad as in India, Ukraine or China
