They should hurry up for the su-57k. China is expected to have its first supercarrier in 2022 and india is also working on its own catobar.

It a market for 100 jets.

A new yak-44 would be also welcomed. At least 10 could be sold to both.

China is re-configuring the J-31 for naval use as the J-15 is not safe enough for carrier operations. India is selecting between the Rafale and Super Hornet. There is not really a market for naval fighters except for MiG-29Ks to supplement the Vishul ski jump carrier of India. Based on the current Indian order they are stacking up their carriers with more Kamovs so it doesn't look like they will need large compliments of MiGs. They are also working on a naval variant of the Tejas which would end any further orders from us.

We saw how it ends up when china and india try to stop buying russian. Their domestic products fail and west sell them 10 times more expensive ones which after 10 years of negociation mostly fail too.

Who was buying su-35 because they suck at making engines for 4th gen fighters ? China.

Who bought 20 mig-29 in a hurry because rafales are fking expensive and their tejas is already outdated and never really in production ? India.

Those two country suck and are mostly stupid espially indians when it comes to making military hardwares. J-31 will be as good as tejas. Two pieces of shit. F-18 will come with "no to use in combat" like pak f-16 and rafale willl still be expensive.

RAC MiG is offering India MiG-29s made in the 80s that the VVS couldn't afford to buy. I have yet to see India sign anything accepting the offer. They have not been very happy with their MiG-29Ks so I don't see any reason why they would cannablise their indigenous fighter orders for Cold War rust.

you wouldn't fly Tejas off a carrier … delta wings are no good at low altitude …. forget that
this whole thing seems off topic

but anyway …. why would the Indians buy F-16s anyway ? …. instead of Mig-29s ? or even more to the point … their own Tejas ?
why would you buy single engine F-16s instead of single engine Tejas ? both supposedly lightweight fighters

…. the Tejas is single engine …. and the idiots … being Indian bookworms ….
chose the F-18 engine …. for the Tejas …. how dumb do you have to be ?

but hey …. wobbleheads …. are your classic armchair wankers … its in their DNA
have you ever met an Indian that wasn't an armchair wanker ? …. lol

they are so dumb …. its inevitable that the Tejas' biggest competitor would be ….. ?
wow ...what a surprise ! the F-18 engine …. in the F-18 or something similar in the F-16
as the braindead Swedes have found out …. hey ! we can't sell the Gripen with the F-18 engine
    against the F-16 …. "block 327/b …. version 35.3 "
and now most of Eastern EU … is flying ….. F-16s instead of Gripens … "oh dee hoh dee hoh dee hee - why izz dat ?"
but hey ! our "world beating " Gripen has the "world beating American F-18 engine" ….. gee … what a "surprise"

the stupidity of humans never ceases to amaze me..... dumb-arses …..

oh my golly golly gosh …. and oh de-ho-de-ho -de hoh …..
we can't buy the engine any more at the original quoted price (from the "democratic" Pentagon")
oh …. we can't compete with the home of "free markets " and "democracy" any more
    ….. talk about dumb-arses ….

Telas is dead without the F-18 engine … if they don't sell their soul to Satan ….

    dumbass idiot techno-wanking pud-pulling stropping …. bookworms
why on Earth does India even need "top end" performance ? …. for a lightweight fighter ? to fight who ?
because Indians by nature …. as we say in AU …. "wankers"
its the missiles that are king …. not the planes ...

even the dumbest strategist with 1/2 a brain can see ….
    they should buy Mig-29/35 …. 2 engines
use 1 engine of the above for the Tejas ……

or buy the Rafale and use one of its engines ….

don't buy any F-16s as the sole purpose of the USA selling such a load of old crap is to destroy the Tejas and the Mig-29

but hey … we've all met Indians …. they are all the same …. wankers … Swedes … yeah I worked for them too …. total twats

    oh hang on ….
" ah yes ….I'll have a tikka masala and pakoras entrée … mains …. tandoori chicken and roghan ghosh …. papadums and some garlic naan thanks "

sorry takeaways …. got to go ...

looks like Su-57 … follow on pilot build order will happen for 12-13 at Army Expo June …..
important order …. if you know anything about factories ….. as 99.9% of you don't ….
this is a huge deal …. the beginning of volume mass production ….
    15-30 p.a. … typical for Russia

and this plane has no equivalent on Earth in production.... its a huge deal

I wouldn't want to mess with that high altitude thing in an F-22 …. let alone a low altitude stubby winged under-armed piece of shit like the F-35 ….

it is the best aircraft on Earth going into serial production …. daylight second ….

I suspect the focus will become UCAVs to operate with it but also a dumbed down version they can export...

I really don't think they will be making 30 a year for the Russian Air Force... they will probably only want about 6-12 a year at most building up to a number of perhaps 150-250 or so over the next 10-15 years but they will also produce MiG-35s and Su-35s... and Su-34s.

I really don't think they need stealth fighters for a lot of roles, so using a 5th gen stealth fighter for every mission is just wasteful and expensive and unnecessary.

By about 2025 they will likely also start making MiG-41s to replace the 31s.

It would not surprise me if the US drastically cuts its F-35 orders and puts the F-15 back in to production in an upgraded version... an Su-35Ski copy of an upgraded Flanker...

Or maybe they like getting screwed for taxpayer cash...

Yeah... careful about throwing around the stereotypes buddy... the last Aussie we had in these here parts went postal and shot over 100 kiwis... Kiwis are a protected species here whether they have white feathers or brown...

But then most of the Aussies I know personally are know-it-alls so in this case the stereotype fits.

Still with a glide range of 40km and max drop altitude of 14km... it is a much needed improvement over the worthless KAB-500 family that must be dropped below 5km and puts any aircraft using it under threat of being shot down... by anything.

The K08B is called KAB-500M and the K029B is called UPAB-1500.

The KAB-500OD tv guided bomb is from 500m to 5km altitude drop and so is the tv guided KAB-500Kr but laser guided KAB-1500L-Pr and KAB-1500L-F can be used from 1km to 15km altitude and the tv guided KAB-1500Kr can be used from 1km to 8km altitude.

AFAIK the newer bombs by Region do better as well.

Only one was shot down and I'm pretty sure that one is not designed to use this type of ordinance

    Rest were non-combat loses

At least three aircraft were shot down from ground fire. The Syrians have lost dozens in this manner. If we had the ordinance to drop accurately from 10km we would not have to worry about 20mm or MANPADs. It is why the French aircraft have lost zero, they fly so high nothing can reach them. Of course they aren't stupid enough to put their airbase close enough to be shelled by rebels either.

Su-25 was lost to ground fire, that's it. Which are the other two supposed to be?

Two deck fighters lost on landing, two lost in Hmeim on take off and landing each and one shot down by Turks. Sand humpers didn't hit anything other that that Su-25.

French didn't lose anything because they barely did anything, all the heavy lifting was done by Uncle Sam as always.

Last time French tried to fight war on their own they screwed up halfway through and had to call for help (yet again). Care to guess who they called (yet again)?

I really think Russia did a mistake in not building PAK_FA as a hypersonic missile carrier..
and a longer ,larger and wider bay ,  By the time their mig-41 goes to retail will be too late .. Needs to modify Pak-fa for a hypersonic missile strike capability.. even if the same missile range cut in half..
a special version for Su-57.. will be very important.. with 300km range.. at least.

but the more i think on it.. a mistake to build Pak-fa first.. they should have done Mig-41 first instead.. is much more deterrence a Hypersonic nuke carrier than a redundant plane ,than the previous su-35 can do the job.  If Russia don't take advantage of Hypersonic+stealth combo now,, it will be a fucking waste of opportunities ,if they wait 10 -15 years later.. for a mig-41 or pak-da carrier..  Putin is the king of missing Opportunities. with all the scientific talent Russia have, is for Russia to have a significantly more lethal Airforce ,and stop focusing so much in surface warships..
with the money Putin wasted in stupid olympics is for him to have Pak-da and Mig-41 in mass production already in big numbers.. plus a real serious space civilian and military program..

The correct thing that Putin , if he had any brains , will have been to counter US navy with Space bombers and interceptors new stealth Airforce.. + hypersonic missile force.. Whatever is a above in near space earth orbit ,will dominate whatever is below.. That is to build stealth Interceptors and and BIG stealth bombers, that US patriot defendes and Aegis can't counter..  that fly at 50km altitude at least..  This will deny traditional planes like F-16 or F-35 or F-22 completely unprepared to counter planes flying so high above them.. and will turn obsolete US , any aircraft carrier air defense.. vs targets above their air defenses capabilities...  NATO standard space interceptors for example are
just mines they deploy in high altitude in space.. that can be easily evaded if a plane don't fly in
a straigh line ,trayectory.. stealth  Space Bombers/interceptors > that any aircraft carrier group of NATO..

Btw the engines are the bay doors which can't sustain such big missile.

I think that such a bulky missile could be carried only on central under fuselage pylon.
