    The Z-20 is a medium size utility helicopter based on the american Black Hawk with some design changes like an larger cabin, a five blade rotor and an chinese produced engine, the WZ-10.
    The PLA planes to produce several hundreds Z-20 to replace the older Z-8 and Mi-8 choppers in the army and navy. So far around ~50 Z-20 has been produced.

    Honestly I never really liked the Blackhawk much, but this looks interesting...

    Do you have specs lists and details on how it is improved over the American helicopter?

    Interesting that it says the Chinese blackhawk mod is better able to allow commandos to exit the helicopter by rope... AFAIK the Mi-17 allows two side doors and the rear ramp to be used for getting off and getting on... the rear ramp door also allows vehicles and pallets etc to be loaded and unloaded quickly from the Mi-17...

    The Mi-17 is a better transport for large equipment with its ramp. Im gessing the Z-20 will be used more of a pure personal transport.

    They are also adding the Z-18 that probably will replace some of the Mi-17s
