Russian Deputy Prime Minister Borisov announces the soon completion of work on the S-500

"Our S-300, S-400 and S-500 systems, which are currently being produced, do have better characteristics with respect to all analogues, be they Patriot, whether it's French or Israeli systems," said Borisov. during the XI All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

On May 25, the American television channel CNBC, citing sources who received data from US intelligence, reported that Russia had conducted tests of the C-500. According to the channel, the S-500 system successfully hit the target at a record range - over 480 km. According to the US, this is more than 80 km longer than the range of any known prior test, a CNBC source said.
"Russia claims that the ground-based missile system is capable of intercepting hypersonic missiles, UAVs, aircraft, including stealth aircraft, such as the F-22 and F-35," the channel said.

this is kinetic kill interceptor for S-500, with range 600km/200km + ceiling. Can hit missiles with speeds up to 7km/s . Nothing sure of course ininfo bias.

Ok but i think such missile is unable as THAAD or Arrow 3 to intercept aircrafts ?

250 km for 48N6, 40N6 is to 400 km ofc but surely in very limited qty 48N6 is surely in more big number in these units

India will receive 5 regiments , therefore almost surely 10 divisions of 8 launchers and 4 transloaders each (i do not believe India will receive tri-divisions regiments) ;  16 ready launchers and 8 transloaders   for each regiements and obviously all other complements of bi-divisions regiments

A fighter will receive signal from RWR and go very low in matters of seconds and hide from the radar. So engagement zone would be even less.

Although I dont think this was personal i.e. about 10 years ban on entry visa to US for Modi it might surely bring an extra satisfaction.

Unlike Indian NSA or other opponents Modi to me is not acting as an accountant but as strategist. Strategist who is playing the Great Game. He clearly is playing on creating yet another pole in the new post-western world.

This is against all pressure by US in last few months and not to sign else face CAASTA , From Matis to Senators to State Department to Janitors from State Department came to India and warned against signing this deal.
