Of course we can't, Gazprom is state owned. You can't sue the state and win. They don't pay because they are busy paying themselves when they have negative cash flows. No account balance means no payment unless the state intervenes.

Wow. Well, don't be too surprised, same type of shit happens here all the time. Scumbags will always be scumbags, and they can be found everywhere.

As for the Gazprom issue.... I thought the company is excessively rich? I mean, they are pretty much a growing empire in the world of petrol, so I would have figured they got money comeing out of their asses.

So what are you gonna do? Since you cannot sue them, can't you make any type of claims or are you just screwed? Maybe its best to never work for state own companies, and go straight to private (Like LUKoil or other Russian based private companies)?

So sorry to hear all that bad news from your home town, Vlad. It happens that some will use tragedy for a personal benefit. That's why I never donate money via SMS.

Gazprom went into some cash flow "problems" but I expected state to pull them out of it... dunno

    Moscow Metro Rocked By Explosions

    Last updated (GMT/UTC): 29.03.2010 05:27

MOSCOW -- Two explosions at subway stations in the Russian capital of Moscow have killed scores of people.

The ITAR-TASS news agency quotes the Emergency Situations Ministry as saying at least 25 people were killed in the first blast at the Lubyanka Metro station that hit during morning rush hour.

At least 10 people were wounded in the blast.

Ministry spokeswoman Irina Andrianova says the dead include 14 people who were in the train's second car where the blast occurred. She says the dead also include 11 people who were on the platform at the Lubyanka station.

A second blast occurred around 40 minutes later at the Park Kultury station. The AFP news agency is reporting that between 12 and 15 people were killed in the second blast, citing Emergency Situations Ministry officials.

RFE/RL's Russian Service reports that ambulances and firefighters had difficulty making their way to the sites of the explosions because of morning traffic jams.

The line where the blasts occurred has been shut down.

The cause of the explosions is still unknown.

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. A private plane came in collision with a snow removal machine at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport on Tuesday, representative of the Moscow transport investigative department Tatyana Morozova said.
“A Falcon plane was leaving Moscow for Paris,” she said. “During takeoff it collided with the airport’s snow removal machine. In the collision, foure people died - three people on board and the snow removal machine’s driver. Four bodies were found on the scene.”
The bodies are being identified now, she added.
“During taxi at 23:57 Moscow time [on October 20] it collided with a snow removal machine of the airport’s service. In the accident, the jet’s passenger and all members of the crew died,” the Vnukovo airport reports. Driver of the snow removal machine was not hurt.
“The meteorology visibility at the moment was 350 metres, the runway friction coefficient 0.5,” the report said.
The airport is not servicing departing or arriving planes yet, a source at the airport said.
“One passenger was registered for the flight - a citizen of France, a top manager of Total. Three members of the crew - also citizens of France. They all died,” the source said

So who is the 4th guy then? If it isn't the snowplough driver.

It *was* the snowplow driver, AFAIK it has been confirmed.

Yet another "coincidence" for the US! That being said, this could have been *just* a freak-accident and nothing more. He wasn't really "anti-Petrodollar" either, rather he suggested that oil could be bought in other currencies instead/along with the all-mighty US $. He never said anything more than that, soooo....

On Gazeta, I think they stated alcohol use was present but I may be wrong. If the plow driver was at fault, well, cant condemn him cause he is dead. Although, how did the plane not see such an obstruct?

Sucks anyway and RIP to the dead.

Snowplow driver detained. I thought they mentioned he was one of the dead? Anyway, neglegence is factor and persecution of people will happen, this is including airport management.

Could have been weather, right? I thought reports were saying that visibility wasn't great then, but I can't (don't want to) confirm that...

Anyway, if the "object" was at a far distance, the pilot may of started to accelerate, than when he saw the object - he probably pitched up aggressively, causing the tail to strike the plow. Once the aircraft is moving at a "good" speed, they really cannot slow it down. - Brakes help, but they require a ton of space to low all inertia.

Boo hoo, rich money sack died, boo hoo. RIP to him and the crew.
Only thing that pisses me off is snowplower.... When there was almost no snow as seen in pictures. And the driver being drunk is just classy. Not that I can't put finger on him as I sometimes drive tipsy in early mornings when taxis are nightmare to get. But at least not on the fucking airfield Very Happy Drinking culture is fucked up thing, but I think it's russian scourge (yeah statistically Russians are not no1, but no where else i've seen people being so drunk in public)

It's strange that SBU didn't post intercepted phone call by Strelkov speaking with Putin and BUK being the culprit.

Conflicting reports in the media about the "Kovalia" A320, that it crashed, that it didn't crash, that it made contact with Turkish ATC. If it did not crash it would by now be over Russian airspace and if okay we would all know. However, Rossiya 24 have said on the 1130 news that shortly after take off and after reaching 9000 meters the aircraft had contacted Egyptian ATC to request emergency landing at Cairo, and it shortly after dissapeared from radar. At the moment that is all that is known for certain, though it has clearly crashed in Sinai. Would probably have been many kids on that plane...... http://www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=2681621&cid=8

Egyptian Prime Minister just confirmed it crashed and emergency services are gathering at the city of Al-Hasan in central northern Sinai http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/162254.aspx

Possibly there are survivors as rescuers report hearing voices in part of the aircraft. At the moment only the Egyptians have sources at the scene and all other reports are based on what they are saying. http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/162275/Egypt/Politics-/Egyptian-search-and-rescue-team-members-have-heard.aspx

Ria Novosti says that in the previous week the crew of the plane had been complaining about some problems about the engine of the plane. These problems had been occurring during the take-off.

Ria Novosti also says the Egyptian authorities did not inspect the plane before the take-off but the inspection had been carried out by the engineers of the Kolavia airline company itself.

Egyptian authorities have also ruled out the possibility that the plane had been shot down.

If the accident was caused by a negligence and poor maintenance of the aircraft hopefully some heads will roll. If this is the case then the ownership and management of Kolavia should be in a big trouble.

There's way too much of this kind of thing, still. Russia needs to bring back firing squads, because whatever else they may or may not have tried in order to clean up this filthy industry hasn't worked. Let's face it; civil aviation is an eternal national embarrassment for Russia.

I agree. The Soviet culture was that one would slack off and steal to one's heart desire. This does not fit with the NATO propaganda narrative of
totalitarian tyranny. This culture requires brutality of a certain level to combat. Russia needs draconian laws on corporate responsibility. So the
executives of these companies would fear hard jail time in a penal colony because of such negligence by their underlings. Everyone from the maintenance
mechanics, to their supervisors and on up should be arrested and tried for criminal negligence causing mass death. They should all be doing multiple
15 year sentences one for each victim in succession.

Unfortunately Russia does not give out consecutive sentences.

Hold On! Why is everyone jumping to the conclusion that this was an accident ????

Egyptian F 16 are not allowing Russian rescue planes to land in Egypt.

RT is not been given access to the crash site.

And you guys still believe this was just another accident?
