Meh, Ural Turbines and others will gladly be happy about this decision.  Same with other foreign companies wanting access to Russian market.  Siemens was a small 5% so guarantee Chinese companies and more will demand to get more involved than 5%.

All engagement with NATO based companies is compromised and should be abandoned. China, India and other partners are better for Russia and mankind.
NATO should be isolated and contained.

Then what will do Russia with the pile of dollars that she receive for the oil that selling?

The only use of dollar is to buy thing from the US or from UK.

    Check the trade deficit countries.

Export surplus is good only to buy things in the future from the trade partner . Or to pay interest : ).

India only has medicine that is definitely competitive and even produced more of than in Russia. Rest is obsolete stuff and or just direct competitive to what is produced in Russia.

Oh, also food too. There are some amazing produce in India that really only grows there. But their introduction of GMO's will start limiting their exports.

Representatives of the US Congress confirmed the voting on sanctions against the Russian Federation on July 25

    Подробнее на ТАСС:
    http://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/4433034

"Yes, the voting on the bill [on anti-Russian sanctions] is scheduled for Tuesday [July 25]," said McCarthy, who is in charge of the legislative agenda of the lower house.

The American edition of Politico reported that the impasse with this initiative was resolved on Saturday. However, the congressmen did not include, at the request of the White House, a provision that facilitates the process of lifting sanctions from Russia.

According to the newspaper, the final bill, which initially included restrictions against Iran, will also include sanctions against the DPRK, as McCarthy himself suggested earlier. It is expected that on Tuesday the overwhelming majority of congressmen will support this bill.
Arrangement in the House of Representatives

As Bloomberg reported earlier , the discussion of the document was at a deadlock due to procedural problems caused by Democratic congressmen. Now this situation has been resolved, and legislators in the lower house will be able to vote in an accelerated mode on a possible ban on the lifting of the White House sanctions from Russia, if such a decision is adopted by the Senate. Democrats opposed the fact that in the original document only the majority party (Republicans) could make resolutions on changing the policy of the Washington administration regarding Russian sanctions. Now it is allowed to the leaders of both parties in the House of Representatives.

The "technical agreement" reached between the congressmen, as the publication calls it, also guarantees that Congress will not consider "minor and regular cases of issuing licenses to US companies wishing to cooperate with Russian enterprises." The agreement of the legislators allows oil and gas corporations to work with their Russian counterparts without significant hindrances. Such progress is associated with the approach of the August parliamentary holidays.

    What's in the package

In the original version, a new package of tough sanctions against Russia under the pretext of its interference in the political processes in the US was approved by the Senate in June. In particular, it includes the requirement to impose restrictive measures against a certain circle of persons within a predetermined period after the law enters into force, as well as an item obliging the president of the country to coordinate with the legislators in advance any mitigation or abolition of sanctions.

The bill, in particular, provides for the enforcement at the legislative level of sanctions imposed in previous years on the basis of executive decrees of US President Barack Obama in connection with the situation in the southeast of Ukraine and the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The document also concerns the restrictions that Obama applied at the end of 2016 against Russian citizens suspected by Washington in cyber attacks on American political institutions. If the bill is eventually adopted by the House of Representatives and signed by the president, these sanctions can be specifically abolished only by adopting another law. The US Administration will not be able to do this on its own.

Earlier White House Director of Legislative Affairs Mark Short said that the Washington administration fully supports the sanctions against Iran and Russia included in the bill. However, according to him, the White House believes that in the current form the document will not support either the Democrats or the Republicans.

same deal as before. Guarantee it will be thrown for revision since the bill will piss off far too many people. But if passed, watch EU and other nations, even US business give the middle finger. Already the Austrians and Germans saying they won't care about the US bill since US has no authority over German economy.

I'm salivating at the thought of US just damaging itself more. These anti Russian politicians in US are so blind, they don't seem to notice the division between them and the rest of the world.

The Central Bank told about the widespread de-dollarization of the economy

    https://lenta.ru/news/2017/07/21/dedollarisation/

The Bank of Russia notes the trend towards de-dollarization of assets and liabilities in all segments of the Russian economy. This was reported in the financial review of the Central Bank for the second quarter of 2017.

"In all segments of the Russian credit and deposit markets, the volume of foreign exchange transactions also declined or grew more slowly than the volume of similar ruble transactions," the survey says. The Central Bank notes that, along with a decrease in the propensity of banks and their customers to take risks, the measures of the regulator to discourage foreign exchange operations of banks also contributed to dedollarization.

In addition, the Bank of Russia believes that the reduction of inflation helped to replace foreign currency deposits. Thanks to this, rates on ruble deposits kept attractiveness for depositors.

In the issue of currency loans, the Central Bank noted the banks' unwillingness to take on additional credit risks, as well as the unwillingness of customers to take risks associated with the increase in the debt burden.

As of June 1, 2017, the volume of household deposits in banks amounted to 24.5 trillion rubles. Of these, about 19 trillion accounted for ruble deposits, 5.5 trillion - for foreign currency. For comparison, at the end of 2015, the volume of ruble deposits was about 15 trillion rubles, foreign exchange - 6 trillion.

White House Signals Acceptance of Russia Sanctions Bill

Although many sanctions laws passed by Congress give the president the authority to waive their provisions if he deems it in the national interest, lawmakers this time tried to limit Mr. Trump’s latitude. To lift sanctions related to Ukraine, Mr. Trump would have to certify that conditions prompting them had been reversed. To lift sanctions over Russian cyberattacks, he would have to provide evidence that Russia had tried to reduce such intrusions. And Congress would have at least 30 days to vote on any changes he sought.

Looks like EU will tell US to just F off.

"Other options set out in the EU commission note include using European law to prevent the US measures from being “recognised or enforceable” in Europe, and preparing “WTO-compliant retaliatory measures”."

The future of the sovereignty left in EU with this new sanctions by congress against Russia ,is what is on the table ,not the Russian one. This is Americans One world Government Globalist elite telling the elite in Europe ,who believe in a global government ruled by TWO , US and EU ,how to jump and how high and when ,on its energy interest.  If Europeans allows anything like this to happen and support the sanctions then the Americans will want more and more until all european business with Russia are banned. and then move to Asia and repeat. The American elite wants
Russia economy to be fully isolated from the world. But they will not have any chance to isolate
Russia from China or India and many other countries in Asia.

This sanctions are nothing more and nothing less , that Economic warfare against Russia.
Consequence not of Ukraine or Syria or any fake hacks.. but consequence of American elite increasing fear ,(close to panic) that if they don't block Russia economic development
but also Russia Influence with Europe  ,in the next 2-3 years ,that later it will be impossible for them to do it ,to separate Europe from Russia. and that Russia will manage to restore relations with Europe.

that Russia is developing too much and earning too much support for US elite like and becoming too alarming strong its military since have managed not only to sabotage American policies in middle east  ,the greater middle east project of Israel and the pipelines over Syria is officially dead. But also have sabotage NATO plans in Ukraine too , managed to secure Crimea ,and protect Russia from deploying Military naval bases in Crimea so close to Russia military bases and from taking control of Ukraine. and to block American plans to stage a major war between Ukraine and Russia with NATO fueling  the conflict.

So what is happening now have a name is called a Soft war + Proxy war of United States against Russia . The soft war is on the Russian Economy ,to try their best to isolate their biggest competition Russia from benefits from trade with Europe.  And the proxy war in Syria ,that Trump appears ,that while it can't reverse it , it looks he managed to freeze it for some time ,which is better than nothing. So the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria , just like the
"Russian hackers fake accusations" against Rusia, where all Fabricated ,planned and staged
by the Americans , for not Other Reason ,than to justify this sanctions they today have in Russia and not look so pathetic when demanding Europe to stop trading with Russia for no reason.

So the economic Sanctions are the goal , to sabotage Russia nation development and isolate them. So to make it more easier for provoke an Euromaidan in Russia. and expect more conflicts ,more wars ,more accusations of Russian hackers, more magnisky , created by the American deep state elite ,in countries Russia have interest to continue justifying more pressure on Europe and the world ,to stop talking and trading with Russia.

The US congress and Senate can't be honest and say to all the world.. "Hey Russia is becoming too Powerful and too strong in competition for us to take down, help us to become your owners, help us create a world dictatorship ruled by us ,so stop trading with Russia ,cut any relations with Russia ,because is ruining our world empire plans.."
because it will be too embarrassing for them ,to tell the truth about why Russia is a problem for United States. Because they want to rule the world ,absolute control of it and Russia is not cooperating in their noble intentions. Rolling Eyes

So this is why all the hysteria of US elite and its Mainstream Media cronies against Russia this or Russia that or about Trump collusion with Russia. they want to promote dislike and hate for Russia and Remove Trump too ,because he is ,(or at least looks like) that he is reversing the American Global Empire plans, and replacing it for a more down to earth policy , by easing the tensions between the white house and Moscow.

any new sanctions i think will have to be signed by Trump . But if he
refuse to sign it , probably congress can bypass the President by having absolute majority
in votes. so if this is the case. it will like a constitutional coup of congress running the country
and sabotaging its elected President from making policy.

whatever is the case , Trump by just holding in power 4 years ,and showing a totally different aptitude of Respect and friendship to Russia is doing enough damage to the Warmongers in Senate and Congress and all other government agencies. Because if Trump manage to reform the elections system so that it become cheat proof . (Obama tried to get Clinton in power with the votes of millions of illegal immigrants and other tricks ) then effectively the Corrupt elite in
United States could be defeated and sacked from power in next elections ,if Trump manage to hold the support that made him to win the elections.  So what is in play in US , is the existence
of the American Empire or not,The political careers of Hundreds in Congress and senate and thousands others in other federal agencies.  So this is why Ron Paul , the former senator republican told , that the Deep State is seeking to remove Trump under the pretext of "collusion with Russia". But they want to pressure him to resign on the promise that he will
avoid Jail because if he is impeached ,the Congress and Senate will face a Huge Backlash from the 50 millions Americans citizens that voted from trump. it will be a civil war and Trump better not resign and let them impeach him ,and encourage a revolution. this is what Trump needs to do. To warn his COngress and Senate that if they impeach him ,there will be a revolution because he have been unfairly removed under false accusations ,and that they will be responsible for any  Violence and any civil unrest they provoke . If President is removed , Trump also can convince Pence to continue his policy of ending the Global Empire and to focus
instead of Trump policies. of creating jobs at home and American interest first.

decent article. Makes the point driven that: why bother cooperating with the US in anything when they will automatically keep sanctions on you for other silly stuff.

In the end, EU will continue to do business with Russia. Same with many others like they did with Iran. It may also open new opportunities for Russia to cooperate with others whom they rarely did before.

EU is showing how belligerent they will get with US and will be defiant.

In the end, the bill will challenge the EU if to finish the pipeline or not. In this case, it doesn't sanction them to buy gas from Russia. But Russia can sue them for bailing out of this deal, and force EU to cover any costs and loss for future transport through Ukraine.

Russia should also play that game.
No more rocket engines for the U.S., no more Uranium fuel for U.S. reactors, no more lift to the ISS, for the start, let see how they like it.

And Rosatom just made a breakthrough with fuel for Western types of nuclear reactors. They will be swimming in cash and will own entire market now that Westinghouse has gone tits up.

why encourage/help a country hell bent on destroying the motherland ... because that is what they are trying to do ... those nuclear fuel could be used to sell to the EU and Asia

Mr Putin has a choice to make either take it on the chin and look weak or play them at their own game the status quo is no longer acceptable ... America is no friend of Russia

i would actually go further and announce a gold backed Ruble and sell oil and gas in either rubles or Yuan or Euros now that would really set the cat amongst the pigeons

This is a Iranian style blanket sanction on Russian Economy and an act of war.

Any one investing in Russian Economy in the sectors like energy , minerals , mining , railways etc would face sanction from US ! So this is not limited to US companies.

The Sanction Clearly states that Nord Stream-2 must be stopped at all cost and US LNG must be exported .. Havent seen a more explicit threat.

Eventually it is upto EU to show courage to stand up to US ......Lets see if they can ...........Now the talk in EU is lets dump the Nord Stream and let us invest more in clean/green energy !

    http://www.interfax.ru/world/572101

In the US Congress, Russia was named one of the most serious threats to the country's security

Moscow. 26 July. INTERFAX.RU - The broadest sanctions in the history of the speaker called the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Republican Paul Ryan set of restrictive measures against Russia, which are contained in the bill passed by the House on Wednesday night, Moscow time.

"The bill, which has just been adopted by an overwhelming majority of votes with the support of both parties, provides for a package of the broadest sanctions in history," the speaker said in a statement distributed after the vote in the House of Representatives.

According to him, these sanctions are designed to "tighten the nuts for our most dangerous opponents, to ensure calm America."

In addition to Russia, the bill suggests tightening sanctions also against Iran and the DPRK, the three countries are "multilateral threats to US national security," Ryan said.

After approval by the House of Representatives, the bill must be considered and adopted by the Senate, and then handed over to the President for signature. It becomes law after signing by the head of state.

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Bob Corker, expressed the hope that the bill will be handed over to President Donald Trump and signed by him until the end of this week.

At the same time, as official representative of the US administration Sarah Sanders said, President Trump agrees with sanctions against the Russian Federation, the White House is studying a bill passed by the House of Representatives of the US Congress.

"The president supports tough sanctions against North Korea, Iran and Russia, the White House is studying a bill passed by the House of Representatives, and awaits its final version on the president's table," the spokesman said in a statement.

At the same time, as noted by the media, there is still no certainty that Trump will sign it, since the document by law restricts the power of the president to abolish sanctions against other countries without the encouragement of the Congress.
