    SSO snipers at work.

Reporter: Can you hit that one?
Spotter: He is not visible. We need...
Shooter: He is just sticking his arm out.
Spotter: Here we go, can you see him, Sanya?
    Shooter: Yeah.
Spotter: There is a rope's end. And... there is an arm.
    Shooter: Yeah...
Spotter: By the way we could try to hit an arm.

    / first shot

Spotter: One increment up. And one increment to the right.
    Shooter: Ready.
    Spotter: Go.

    / second shot.

    Spotter: One increment up.
Shooter: Fuck, I don't think upwards would work. (inaudible)
Spotter: Come on, come on. A little bit.

    / third shot

Spotter: Looked like a hit. Once more.
Shooter: Oh, he moved his leg.
    Spotter: That's it. Come on.
    Shooter: He is turning around.
Spotter: He is trying to get under the staircase. Come on, come on, to the left. Sanya, Sanya, to the left.

    / fourth shot

its a real shame Russia wouldn't deliver say at least 6 fully armed Yak-130 to the Syrian air force, it would do two things, give the Syrian air force much needed aircraft, and it would allow them to showcase them for Russia, as i highly doubt RuAF would use such an aircraft in armed conflict but the Syrians would. The SyAF would have an aircraft that would be small, agile, be able to deliver more precise strikes than what they currently field. Another aircraft that could be considered would be Mig-29M2, ideally 6x yak-130 and 6x Mig-29M2 is needed, they showcase them both and the costs are nowhere near other Russian aircraft. The RuAF in Syria are already working there ass off and it would be useful and helpful if the SyAF could also take on some of the more precise airstrikes. anyway its highly unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Su-25s would be more useful... better armoured and likely better self defence electronics too.

Russia is not really in a position to just give stuff away.

Logistics, pilots/training. I think they are main reasons why they are not delivered as there would be little of use. As Garry said, SU-25 on other hand would be perfect in this regard.

According to this U.S. official sourced by Fox News, the Russian military delivered a large shipment of 50 SS-21 short-range ballistic missiles to the Syrian coastal city of Tartous over the last two days.

this is good news, i presume Russia is looking to off load tochka missiles as it replaces them with Iskander, but this is serious amount of devastation coming to the terrorists, a well placed missile of this sort is bad news for them, i can't wait to seen them in use.

Very interesting and carefully crafted comment from Konashenkov, not denying their arrival just that there have been no strikes. Yet.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied reports of alleged strikes in Syria carried out by Russia's Tochka-U ballistic missile systems.

On Wednesday, Fox News claimed citing US officials that Russia had allegedly delivered 50 short-range ballistic missiles to the Syrian port of Tartus.

Both Russia and Turkey have not registered any strikes carried out by Tochka-U ballistic missile systems in Syria, the Defense Ministry said.

"There is no information about alleged strikes by Tochka-U missiles this week on the Syrian opposition units in Idlib. Neither Russia, nor Turkey recorded it," Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

No fear of MANPADs in those pilots. Cameraman didn't show where those rockets landed, maybe made a mess of his mates.
