Sad to hear. RIP hero. Many more Russians will die needlessly because Putin is timid and refuses to end the war when he signed peace agreement with that evil American Kerry.

Don't worry all Russia needs is to increase population growth of ethnic Russians (stunt pop growth of other ethnicities) to replenish the present and future army of the Great Russian empire russia

The Russian commander in Syria has been replaced and the job downgraded from a Colonel General to Lieutenant General Alexander Zhuravlev.

Unless im mistaken , the information i saw ,was the other way.
The former Russian commander of the mission of Syria ,was Ascended its position and sent to the Caucasus forces of Russia , he was promoted to a much important position for Russia security.
and then he was replaced for another Russian military general that will take his place.
So there is no downgrade , but a rotation ,if the information i saw is correct.

Russia will do well to rotate as much possible its forces in Syria , so that they get
the real deal , a training in real combat with risk for their lives.

Not necessarily, I certainly wasn't convinced the first time... but, it's hard to tell really. I just feel like there would have been some actual footage by now if it did happen to be honest.

Excellent news. I hope, Syrian AF Will receive a squadron of Su-24M2 from RuAF, which are now in the process of replacement with Su-34. I'm sure those planes are equipped with modern data links, that those Syrian Su-24M2 could work in data link network with RuAF, what will increase capabilities of Syrian AF in fighting with terrorists.

Putin reached a deal with Kerry to ground the Syrian air force. Yet another stupid mistake from him. The new deal would target Nusra, which no longer exists after rebranding.

Russia 'DELIBERATELY bombed secret military base in Syria used by elite American and British forces'

Troops were still inside the base just 24 hours before the June 16 attack. US officials and rebel commanders told the Journal that the outpost was hit with cluster munitions.US attempts to wave off the Russians failed to prevent a second air strike on the base, the report said.

About three weeks later, on July 12, Russian warplanes hit a rebel camp used by family members of CIA-backed fighters about 50 miles west of At-Tanf, the report said.
