    MODERNIZED

Mil-24PN - 20-30 (Planned upgrade for Mil-24's but after completing a couple of squadrons decided to cancel and build new)

    Grand Total = 225+

    * 6-8 Ka-50's sitting at Torzhok, operating status unknown

i had the impression Ka-52s are about 80

Have seen a figure of 74 but it appears to include the Ka-50's also so until I get something more concrete will stay with 64 produced and 1 lost in a crash.

It is quite nice to see more than 200 new night capable attack helicopters in armament. I think they need at least 200 more to replace all old Mi-24 helicopters.

Still 70+ Ka-52's on order plus the 32 Ka-52K's and then however many Mi-28NM's get ordered.

There are lot's of numbers out there and I never claim to be 100% HOWEVER I'm comfortable with what I put out there. Part of my cross checking involves actual units so if there are 4 Ka-52 squadrons active with 16 (3) or 12 (1) aircraft where is the 90 aircraft. This guy also doesn't appear to reduce by the lost aircraft to crashes.

There were 2 orders of 32 + 65 totaling 97 Mi-28N's of which 3 were lost in accidents. There is a present order for 12 or so Mi-28UB trainers for which the first confirmation of them arriving in 2016 was in today's TASS. The upgraded Mi-28NM is supposed to finish testing and trials this year. Then more orders will follow I'm sure.

As for the KA-52, said my piece. The Mi-26T's and Mi-8's look correct, but I disagree with the Ansat and Ka-226T totals... too high.

On Thursday the press service of the Southern Military District. "In accordance with the plan of re-equipment of the Southern Military District (SMD) in 2016 will continue to act in the military units of the 4th Army Air Force and air defense and naval aviation of the Black Sea fleet of new and upgraded aircraft models. This year, pilots County await the arrival with the manufacturers of the country more than 20 multi-role Su-30SM and five upgraded Su-25SM attack aircraft ", - said the press service. In addition, the park will join the army aviation for more than 30 helicopters - Ka-52, training and combat Mi-28UB, multi-purpose transport Mi-26T, as well as special Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-8MTV5, Mi-8MTPR. Last year, in the framework of the state defense order to the troops County received more than 60 units new and modernized samples of military, transport and attack aircraft. Also, before it became known that the aircrew YUVO already started first in this year's scheduled flights within the framework of retraining on the Su-30SM.

Yes that were of 2015 production, but the numbers we expect in 2014 are 4 and 12 respectively.

There are 2 contracts for Air Force of 30 Su-30SMs each, 60 in total. 56 have been delivered so far, so 4 we expect for 2016
The orders for Navy are for 20 Su-30SMs, 8 have been delivered, so 12 we expect

Unless there will be an additional contract for more Su-30SMs this year

Of course there will be more than 16 Su-30SM this year. They've been working on the new frames even if we don't know the exact contract yet. The VMF wanted 50.

    - Two above plan in December [link, link]).
    Su-30M2 - 3 for the Air Force (s / n 88-15 - 88-17 December 2015 delivered in 3 Krymsk, received the board numbers 60, 80 and 90 red [link].)

    Yak-130 - 75 (+2 lost)
    Borisoglebsk - 42
    Armavir - 32
    Akhtubinsk - 1

    Su-30M2 - 20?
    Belbek - 3
    Krimsk - 9
    Uglovaya - 4
Besovets? - 4? This was the rumored destination... have seen no confirmation.

    Su-30SM - 58
    Domna - 24 (4 in Syria)
    Dzemgi - 4
    Millerovo - 20
    Akhtubinsk - 2
    Novofedorivka - 8 (naval aviation)

    Su-35S - 48
    Dzemgi - 26
    Uglovaya - 6
    Syria - 4
    Akhtubinsk - 6
    Lipetsk - 6

Su-34 - 74 (+1 lost, claims that total produced are 76 at this point which would leave 1 other missing if correct)
    Voronezh - 24
    Morozovsk - 36
    Akhtubinsk - 3
Lipetsk - 11 (there are 6 in Syria which I suspect came from here)

FYI - Akhtubinsk is the Flight Testing Center and normally has 2-4 aircraft of each type while Lipetsk is the Flight Training Center and normally has 4-6 aircraft of each type.

Yak-130 - not exactly. One was from the first batch delivered and the second was a couple of years ago.

SU-27SM3 - only 12 made so far. Thirty six of the Su-27P's are to be rebuilt to 27SM3 standard starting this year and running into 2020. Not sure what they will be called, theoretically they should be called 27SM2 but possibly they will be called 27SM3 also. They are at Krimsk and provide long range escorts in support of bombers, transports etc for Syria. Suspect that is why so many Su30M2's are there also.

    According to Wikipedia there have been 3 crashes but believe the first one was a demo aircraft not owned by the Air Force;

26 June 2006 Yak-130 crashed in the Ryazan region. Both pilots ejected safely without injuries.[17]
29 May 2010 crashed Yak-130 (tail number 93), from the center of Lipetsk combat training and retraining of personnel. Plane accident occurred during testing. Both pilots ejected, their condition is satisfactory. There were no casualties or injuries to people on the ground.[18][19]
15 April 2014 Yak-130 crashed in the Astrakhan region, 25 km. from Akhtubinsk near the village Bataevka. The crew of two pilots ejected, one of the pilots died – Air Force Lt. Col. Sergei Seregin. The cause of the disaster was a malfunction. The Yak-130 was owned by 1080th Red Banner Aviation Centre for Retraining of Personnel named V.P. Chkalov at Borisoglebsk. There were no casualties or damage to those on the ground.[20]

I think RuAF and RuNAVY have now 64 Su-30SM. Number of Su-30M2 is still not clear. Have KNAAZ delivered all 20 ordered Su-30M2 or still have to deliver some fighters?

In Habarovsk all Su-27SM were replaced by Su-35S fighters and now the regiment of Su-27SM in Vladivostok get replacement with Su-35S as well. I wonder if RuAF will send all their Su-27SM from Far East to European part of Russia like to fully equip regiment on Crimea with Su-27SM fighters and other regiment to replace other regiment of older flankers.

Pretty sure of that 58 30SM figure.
The 30M2 is still a bit of a mystery, plant reported that all were to be delivered by years end back in September. We know where some are and where others were supposed to go... just no confirmations.
    The 27SM of which there are ~50 should be spread around as such;
    Belbek- 12
    Krymsk - 12
    Uglovaya - 14
    Lipetsk - 5
    Akhtubisk - 2
    Belarus - 5

The aircraft from Uglovaya could go West to bring Belarus up to a squadron and then the other 5 go to Kants. Still some questions here also.

    No, just the SM.
It would make sense for some aircraft to be in Lipetsk but I have never seen anything to confirm this.

I have the same numbers. Also franco Su-27SMs are 50 incl the SM3s?

There was 60 Su-27SM in operational units. 24 Su-27SM in Habarovsk, 24 Su-27SM in Vladivostok and 12 new built Su-27SM3 in Krymsk plus 5 Su-27SM more, which are in Lipetsk. Those from Far East are now heading in European part. I know for those 12 Su-27SM3, that they are still in Krymsk and that there are 12 Su-27SM in Crimea. Where are the rest of them at the moment I don't know.

Pretty sure of that 58 30SM figure.

No, you've missed something. There are 68 Su-30SM, and 4 of them are for the Kazakhs.

    Looking at the serial numbers:
    1001-1020
    1101-1120
    1201-1220
    1301-1308
