Vann7 wrote:I really think that people are over estimating the latest advances in Aleppo. that "Sealed" it from turkey. This is because even before Russia came Aleppo city was sealed. the distance between
Syrian army positions and terrorist in the main city was about 5km. So any car ,truck or supply was withing kornet range and this is not mentioning artillery.

For me the real benefit of latest advances in Aleppo is getting closer to Turkey border instead ,if they continue moving towards turkey they will be able to physically take control of their
border and seal Raqqa and most eastern Syria from Turkey but also idlib too. that will be really game changing. However this all depends if the Kurds did not betray Syria and allow Turkey or NATO to supply terrorist using their territory. Since Already something of that was happening ,
ie.. the Oil routes of ISIS to Turkey was using Kurds controlled zones. So there was effectively
a business pact between Kurds and ISIS in allowing them to travel through their territories with their trucks.  Whether Kurds were pressured at gun point to do that questionable business (ie.Allow ISIS to steal Syrian oil to Turkey) that for example or did it voluntarily because they also see positive ISIS in Syria disbanding it so they can take land for them is a different
question.  But with Russia and IRAN and Syria gov pressure and the right diplomacy they could
be managed and lured to the Russian side.

So the biggest benefit of Aleppo latest advances i think is being closer to Turkey border and posibility to close all norther Syria. but aleppo central city was unoficcially closed for months or more. The advances of Russia seems that allowed to lift the siege that terrorist had on Syrian siege on aleppo central city. and liberate kuweires airport too and some parts of the south.
But so far Aleppo central city doest look like a primary target  ,leaving a gate of 5km open
for months might be intentional ,for political reasons to not give the impression Syria is starving
a city. since is "open" by 5km window..but Syrian army controls the gate.

Liberating the city center however could not be bad either ,since it will free troops to other
front lines and damage the morale of Terrorist .

Sure that's why the damn rats were having party after party, because Aleppo was "all but sealed"...

#Syria: VIDEO via @HoseinMortada: Dead rebels in their trenches in Northern #Aleppo.

The terrorists/Jihadist almost empty their magazines on already fallen SAA/Allies to make sure they are dead, where as SAA check the pulse of seemingly ok bodies to see if any life is left. There are also few injured/captured terrorists in the above video.

New Peto map. Note that  #IS regain control of Al-Sin, Jub Al-Kalb & Rasm Al-Alam while #SAA capture Barheliyah Hill

After recent advances #SAA closes in on north #Aleppo:

    Tell Rifaat - 10km

    Azaz - 20km

    Turkish border - 25km

With all the recent developments, I think, it seems like a huge cauldron is forming at the Idlib region.

And the Turks have to pave another way in the East to illegally purchase oil... by slaughtering Kurdish population at the Iraqi border.

@Johninmk: wonder is the Kurd's assault near Nubbol in accordance with SAA's activities ?

Got beaten to it by Solncepek. This is what I was going to say

I only put this up to show how crazy some people can be. Would you run into a machine gun crossfire zone with no cover when most of your mates are lying dead or dying ahead of you? This is the SAA getting gunned down, video put up today. No gore just bodies, lots of them in a new Jaish al Islam vid.

$hit man....i was so much wished the pics that I posted was false/older one. The snapshots looks taken from that battle??? :-(

It looks like the advancing men did not have any idea that their flank was not secured.... Something really went wrong.
More so call why every offensive needs a tank to plough through the defence and if not atleast a armed/uav to give a clear picture and soften up the opposing frontlines.

This is just wrong, there is no return fire at all and i have hard time spotting any weapons around bodies, and they are trying to run diagonally instead of going back which doesnt make much sense, i might be wrong but this looks like they were released prisoners with "run for your life if you can" rules.

You could be right. At 0.55/6 it looks like two of them are carrying guns but only in one hand. As you say, no attempt to fire. Explosion at end finished anyone who actually made it to the building that the final, note the higher quality, shots were taken from.

I wouldn't exclude prisoner execution/gun down. The united scum are taking a beating across several fronts, this type of "victory" and "success" might be needed to boost the faltering morale.

Anyway, time to do some massive urban and landscape intervention in the area.
