But unfortunately it wasn't done and perhaps Russia assumed too much and now we could have dead innocents on our hands, or at least destroyed civil supplies.

Its a legitimate target IF the food is going to the enemy.

If russia targeted the convoy on purpose because of that reason they will say so, if they try to avoid it and muddy the waters we will know they cocked up.

Its a war,collateral damage is certain to happen, its your reaction to it that counts. I think its best to be open about it and not act the way america does in these situations.

America admits to its mistakes, even it takes a while, and even if it makes more of them than everyone else.

Russia pretends these mistakes don't exist or just starts churning out conspiracy theories in competition to the obvious explanation in order to lead everyone into befuddlement.

It is an act of war and an illegal crossing of border is now well established a target to be killed, turkish rules are rules!

I can't feel sorry even if it were purposed for civilians, do that under international law and demand and then the supplies will be monitored and spared as long they do not get suspicious with their routes and that suddenly weapons appear on fronts. That are not some busses loaded with people, not many dead anyway and it is hard to believe those were civilians which were driving through the very well known routes of ISIS/turkey oil and weapon supplies. The chances that those are actually humanitarian aid are slim.

This time, it is supposed food, to an unidentified target, that were not burned while everything else was, and no one staked claims or made international request for delivory of said humantarian aid.

I would blow it up too, and then demand that proper channels are used next time.
