I was a Fister in the US Army and Security Forces in the USAF. I served for 16 years and got out with an honorable. I love Russian history and Russia itself. I am an American but I find that the Russian way to do and make things are sometimes better then everyone else's. I love, love, love the Hind! And I love Russian weapons and of course the Spetsnaz! Alpha Group is my favorite. I collect Russian medals and anything KGB. I also collect Vostok watches. I am here to learn. I am also here to teach if someone wants to know things. Maybe it is a stupid question but what exactly is a fister?
I don't feel like googling it, because i do not think the results will provide a good picture of you for my understanding.

Not a problem. A Fister is another name for a Forward Observer (13F). You basically call for fire to help.

you know the "ranks" are just post related tough right?

Some of us are ex-millitary, some EX-NATO and those that NATO likes to call "opposing force". but we never call eachother by rank or anything around here. just usernames. also, the members that originate from places like Serbia and the like can give some great insights into past conflicts history's from their side of the conflict. More specifically that conflicts where anything but black and white. When you go trough the posts you find them soon enough.
