The Situation in the Ukraine. #15

Post  Neutrality on Wed Jun 03, 2015 11:33 am

The only logical conclusion is that they have been spending that borrowed money on boosting their military capability + presents from the West. Meanwhile their economy is continuing to crash.

Channel 112 admit ukrops retreating from Marinka and that Lysenko says reserve to be deployed. Seems that the info about VSN approaching Kurakhovo gets more firm but nothing concrete, nothing official. Leave one eye on Volnovakha at this time.....

I can be seen that the situation is good because ukrops have already begun to blame their defeat at Marinka on "Buratino" http://dnr-news.com/dnr/21128-pravyy-sektor-esli-poteryaem-marinku-budet-novyy-kotel.html

Large numbers of wounded ukrops reported in their positions now over run, more than two hundred now reported to be in hospital. Unfortunately hundreds of miners are trapped underground because ukrops shelling earlier in the day had destroyed electricity transformer. Also unsourced and unconfirmed info that Kononov has stated that because of the ukrops shelling, Minsk 2 is finished. So war again? It was forecast by some for this weekend, I had thought maybe late July. What happens now is rather surprising on it's timing and that nothing else at the moment is happening. An attack out of Petrovsky and swinging north with the aim of destroying ukrops around Donetsk was expected, but in conjunction with other attacks. But to be surprised is good, for ukrops will also be surprised.

If they manage to break through to Kurakhovo the Ukrops will be forced to abandon some positions in the South in order to prevent another cauldron. Judging from the map with the latest positions from mid-February, provided by "kot-ivanov" ( http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/kot_ivanov/71733898/42710/42710_original.jpg ). The rear of their group in Berezovoye will be exposed. Hell, I'd even say their position in Peski will be in danger as well. The entire area leading to Ugledar is one giant field with practically no resistance.

Yep, as the situation stands at the moment they are in serious difficulty and I expect soon to see reports of movement at Peski, and if at Peski then it must also be at Avdeevka. I'm looking very closely at Volnovakha front as there are unconfirmed reports of ukrops movements, perhaps to the toilet or westward....

Aren't there foreigners in Volnovakha? Presumably those American instructors are there.

Any news from the southern front as yet?

Usually when the ukies are in retreat they try to counter in the south to take pressure of themselves around donetsk.

@monarchist where are those 15 killed? Which town? Civilians or military?

To be honest I dont know, it doesn't say. I would say combination of both.
He said it's combined along the whole demarcation line.

    Thanks monarchist.

I really dont know why the ukies bother, every time they try to pull a stunt they get their asses handed to them. Im surprised that we havent seen any serious mutinies from them thus far.

Im not 'for war', and i dont want to seem like i am happy its restarted, but i hope that NAF/russia use this as an opportunity to completely wipe out the ua offensive capabilities. Ukies have shown they arent going to follow any peace agreements, so they must be destroyed. Lets just hope civvies can keep their heads down as much as possible.

Jesus, take a look at the RTS index. It's going down fast. Pretty much confirming the war is on.

Just to make a small post about the level of PPE within the Ukrop Army.

About 50% of those are "non-lethal" aid. Currently the Ukrops field three different helmets, at least 6 different uniforms and about a dozen different sights. Talan boots are very very stiff and heavy and made in Bangladesh. The "home-made" uniforms are mostly for the National Guard and the Border Guard corps. Most have have been re-alloted to frontline troops without distinction.

But most of troops are in this state.

    ...

The small infographic is basically BS.

Possibly these 15 include 10 members of VSN unit "Ryazan" who are said to have been killed in the morning assault on Marinka. Also reported they had 12 wounded and two captured. I do not know if this is true or not.

Edit: I'm not believing this at the moment, but this info is on the networks, and there will have been casualties.

Reported by DNR that the miners have been brought to the surface from the Skochinsky mine. Don't know about the other mine yet.

Yes, I read that too. Most likely sent their deliberately do die and be cannon fodder. Most likely Moscow wants DPR to send its best units to die non-strategical places. They tried the same in the Debaltsevo operation, both LPR, DPR.

The hospital in Petrovsky district is overflowing with civilian casualties, about 90, and suffering power cuts. Yet the junta squeals about how they are being attacked. Scum....

See these ukrops clowns. ATO command has demanded that Russia stops the succesful counter attack by VSN. And that they use the term "counterattack", rather undermines their shouts about it being VSN who perpetrated this fighting. They are badly shaken I think http://rusvesna.su/news/1433342225
