Books and critical thinking is already the best brain improvement and i hope they stay away from brains it would be abused anyway.

Also would be good for economists from government and banks. And for economists of army who will calculate best proportions for number of rockets/money/caracteristics and qualyties of rockets and weapons. After all this substances will be good for everyone including mayrs/government staff

Also not forget the fact that computers can be made more intelligent than humans and could provide best weapons and economic solutions

I enjoyed the movie "Limitless", and am looking forward to "Lucy" or what ever it is called, but I think most experiments with brain improving chemicals mainly dealt with stuff like LSD etc to make soldiers more aggressive and less effected by death and violence and generally were unpredictable and therefore considered dangerous and unreliable.

Well i said that because LSD or others were used for agresivity. For sure psychyatrists evolved whit the research upon brain improve since more logic is not dangerous. Is about stronger signals bwtween neurons. But what about a mecanism that would accelerate evolusion?

I have seen research where blind people have rudimentary CCD chip sensors to "see" light that are attached to the optic fibre transmitting information directly to the human brain... the person has to learn to interpret the electrical signals but in a sense they are able to sense brightness and darkness.
the brain is just a bio mass that communicates with chemical electric signals much like a computer chip so it is not impossible.
The main problem is that the capacity of the human brain is orders of magnitude more complex than any computer chip today.

well yes but in few time the power of computer chips will override human brain. then a chip can be mounted oh human brains to improve human brain. in not even neccesary to be more than human. an an simple 15% from human brain chip would increase power of calculation. also supercomputers are today as powerfull as a human brain. did someone tried connect a human brain to a supercomputer?

and the problem is which nation make for the first time connection and made a improve in human brain. that nation would have first the best weapons

The main problem would be communication... with the CCD chips they sent electrical signals to the persons brain... that person had to learn what those signals meant which took time and practise.
Eventually they could "see" light and dark and obstructions or bright flashes, but they couldn't see the way we do.
Compared to a human brain even a super computer is limited... limited in terms of available connections and speed. For calculations your brain will be slower than a super computer but even just basic things like imagination is beyond most computers.
equally defining a language for both to communicate would be difficult.
there are lots of barriers and problems before we start downloading our memories to Youtube, or storing backups to storage media... or like on the Matrix being able to learn things by uploading programmes.

that person would be alone and others would search for reasons......in a way stopping the war is a bad ideea. every day we have a war. whit others....

So what if someone could be a lot smart so unpredictible? Just have him under control and permanent surveillance and threath him so he reveal important things. Have him like a hostage...........

There are some tehniques that do improve performance. Simple tehniques. Like one i saw on youtube. A device made by someone that i dont remember create electricity in the brain and stimulate brain. Also i saw others that do same kind sort of tehniques.

I thought about the cause of genius . If we studied and found common elements in the life of geniuses , then we can find , what causes it . Through relaxation and allowing my mind to wonder freely , without fear of ridicule or strong emotion , I have surprised myself ! Coming up with some good ideas .
I first come up with the idea , then find that others have come up with it too ! I find the references later ! When I post or write . You need a relaxed and quiet environment . Free from stress . Plus a continuous effort , lasting many years . Then you get a genius ! Children can easily be made into genius , in the right environment .
